It is an amazing short film of a programme that New York City Ballet put on for children with Cerebral Palsy.

Anon2
It is a lovely story. Dance East have long established children's and adult classes for those with additional needs and a performance group (by invitation only from classes) which perform at their shows and other public events.
FullContretemps
Yes yes yes! I work with children and also with disabled children, and would love to train to teach ballet. It's so good to see people really engaging positively to share dance with people who might not normally get a chance.

2dancersmum
Birmingham Royal Ballet and Fox Hollies School (special needs school with specialism in performing arts) in Birmingham work together and have a dance company called Freefall. Freefall company members go into schools with their outreach programme. I don't know much about Fox Hollies or Freefall but the one performance I have seen from Freefall was beautiful with the personalities of each of the dancers shining through.
Harwel
When I was at northern ballet studios last week I saw that they also do performance work with disabled children/ young adults. I am sure everyone involved gets a lot out of the experience.
