My dd wants to do more dance training. it's personal choice at the end of the day.

Hi Meadowblythe destination of leavers at end of sixth form - my dd has offers of 2 places - one musical theatre, one classical ballet. Other students have places at Laines, Central, Northern, London Studio - most pupils have had multiple offers. funding! - there are scholorships - we didn't get one so not up on these accommodation - amazing - 2 new dormatries just completed with students moving in after Easter break mixture of boys and girls - 40% boys, 60% girls academics - wide choice of 'A' levels There have also been regular "work in progress" showcases for the parents. No Legat doesn't have DaDas for 6th form. There are scholorships but as we were not lucky enough I'm not sure of them.

I notice that there is no mention of Legat as a post 16 opportunity. There is a large selection of 'A' levels and currently my dd is doing 26 hours of dance a week.

Thank you to everyone for all your information and advice - lots of food for thought! I shall pass all on to dd as the final choice will be hers, but all this extra information has been extremely helpful. x

I think we may end up loosing a depost somewhere but this is the last push! We've never had funding for anything so can't see us being lucky this time - would be nice, just for once!

It is a hard choice but one that will have to be made, and very soon!

Thanks spannerandpony, Been a bit hesitant about posting success as so many others disappointed. She's also been offered Laines as well and is now in a bit of a quandry as where to go. Classical ballet has always been her passion but Laines so good as well. Hence wanting some more info on Ballet West.

My dd has just been offered a place at Ballet West - anyone else going there and have any inside information please?

Thank you 2dancersmum. Once dd decided which option she takes up I can stock up. I see a suitcase full of tights alone!!

I used to order from Dance Direct but DD pefers Papillion tights. I get these from local ballet shop and if I order enough pairs at a time I get a small discount. As she will be moving on in September does anyone know if you can order Papillion tights online anywhere?
