    Hi everyone, I know it’s a bit of an impossible question but i was curious to know if anyone had an idea to the funding availability for tring sixth form for those not already in the school? It seems on here to be very limited however we have known quite a few dancers who were successful and were wondering how much it can vary?

    Dd (15) went last year for 1 week and really enjoyed it. she says she remembers having 4 classes of around 1.5 hrs length. Lunch in the middle and snacks in between each. Ballet every day, solos and Rep a few times, pointe a few times, contemporary and jazz once or twice in the week. Ends with a parent’s presentation on the Friday. Overall a very good experience

    Anyone got any idea how long it’s usually to hear back from central prelims! Dds first audition and the post nerves have now kicked in

    Great, well done to them. Dd is not vocational but been offered audition so very pleased. I’m not too sure how to move this into another section.

    Can I just ask, does anyone know if it is common for auditions to be offered after the screening stage for 6th form

    In terms of the dadas/bursaries etc if they are offered to somebody who then chooses to attend somewhere else (which I’m sure is quite likely?), do they get passed down to others? Just trying to see if rejected for funding there is still hope/waiting list?

    Hi I’m looking for anyone who can give me a rough idea of the levels of work in auditions for Tring, Elmhurst, ENB, Central etc. Any advice/info for these schools would be so appreciated!

    Thank you. A little confused - if offered a place are you automatically offered a dada of the amount you are entitled to??

    Thank you, do you know if there is a calculator similar to elmhurst / rbs? It is hard to know amounts of funding available with the info I can find.

    Hello, what is the funding like for students entering year 12? Looking for advice as no way of paying those fees without sufficient funding but it is DD’s top choice. thanks

    Hi everyone just looking for a few bits of advice! What is involved in the Friday showing? Also, is it fairly easy to keep in touch with your child do they get there phone back quickly in the morning? Any other advice greatly appreciated!

    The training is still classically focussed and students do RAD etc, however a lot of the alumni go into a more commercial or MT route. Attending SB, RCS, YBC and local training is definitely going to keep up with the training at DSS

    hi just looking for recommendations and advice on good ballet leotards for summer intensive (RBS White Lodge) and also upper school auditions which aren’t far now.
