Fantastic school!
Thanks for your replys.
DS loves it at YDA and yes thats the problem, we have seen children
come back from RBS to YDA. I can't believe how well he has done there
and Miss Hubbard at RBS is pleased with him.
What will be will be. If he is lucky to get though he'll have to choose. No way will I make
the decision for him!
We had 3 of the senior boys come to our pub in Oxfordshire (1 boy and his dad who has something to do with Elmhurst live near us) drinking guinness! They said they saw my son in the paper and recommended he go to Elmhurst. They love it there!
Might audition him there as well, will talk to him.
My son (10yrs) applying for 2013. He is JA and loves performing (ROH tonight in Swan Lake) and is beside himself that he won't get in. I would have liked him to wait like his sister, until 16 and do a BA Hons course at Central or Ballet West but he wants to go now. Or of course RBS!
I feel better now and will be a lot happiet now if he gets in, thank you.
Northern Ballet, KS Dance, Royal Acadamy of Dance. Urdang, Italia Conti, Royals, YDA (8 students got into WL this Sept) Central, Bird, Millenium .......
What about a really posh scrap book for those that love ballet.
I got my son one when he did his first performance in Alice Adventures in Wonderland
with RB. Now he fills it with pics, who he spoke to what they say to him, mistakes on stage etc (he is 10 by the way)
He has a special book he writes in what he had done! He will come home from ROH tonight and write
about what happened in Swan Lake. His book is great. 4 performance with RB.
Children should have a special memory book. His first ballet teacher has and she
was with RB and she is in her 70's! Great thing to look back on.
