We haven't had any paper work yet either. In 1 of the emails it said approx the end of March all auditions should have been seen & sorted, then offers would be sent & then once accepted paper work would need to be done. It's the waiting!! Drives you mad 😵 lol. Just about to phone Eszter.

This was part of the email I got sent earlier..... 'We don't have any designated rooms for Northern Ballet School, as they don't have an agreement with us, however I have blocked two flats for NBS students, and we try to fill these flats with these students, because we all know how important is to be with people from the same course and same age.'........ maybe they are close together in blocks? & are able to social with other groups of flats. I will see what Eszter says tomorrow hopefully get to speak to her as I couldn't get an answer today.

Hi & welcome SusieQ, As maybe you have seen my dd has been offered a place too. Today we have started the booking process at Medlock House, with Eszter for an en-suite flat I was told she would be with other NBS students but don't know what ages or what school year. I do plan to speak to her again tomorrow, maybe she will be able to give me this info. We too are waiting to hear about dada funding.

Just a quick update. I phoned New Medlock House today this is what I found out ; up to 8 non en-suite flats = 2 shared bathrooms, up to 4 non en-suite flats = 1 shared bathroom. There is a deposit of £250 but this is returned free if you cancel before May 31st. Flats are going fast but updates are made regularly.

I think my plan is to phone tomorrow, see what's available, see what T&Cs are...... Then rob a bank!!! 🤣🤣. All this research / calculations / stress & don't know what will happen about Dada offers yet 🤑. Ohh the joys. I'm glad she's my youngest & won't have to be doing this again!!

Hmm yep your correct I hadn't done the maths. OK so in that case doing the 51 weeks seems s better deal?.... Holiday home for 7 weeks! Lol

On some of the flats in their description it gives you an option to choose between different length of time eg : 51 weeks / 44 weeks etc the 1 I saw it was listed for 51.

Hi dancers dad, When I checked this morning it had 1 en-suite but couldn't change the amount of tenancy weeks as it was 51.... We would need 44?

Hi ballet bean, Feel free to jump in with as much info as possible!! Lol. I think I will be having to have that phone conversation soon with someone at Medlock House, as I said, due to their being no en-suite flats when I was checking their website I emailed to be told their were non available for the new school year of September 2021 & they don't do waiting lists.. PANIC! is the word that comes to mind as that doesn't leave many choices!! I will have to check T&C as to if we book something now & we don't get Dada how we would stand with their tenancy contract. Who's idea was it to start dd dancing?!! 🤣🤔. Thank you for all the information & personal experiences shared here by the members.

Hi DancingShoes, Thank you! Do you all book accommodation this far in advance? Did you actually get to view the room or just a room? Is it always the case that they will put the NBS students together? Sorry for all the questions. Haven't even had funding offer yet n getting all stressed! 😲

Hi ballet bean, Thanks for the informative answer. Daughter would prefer en-suite but looking at the situation with lack of them it may well be that it won't be an option. I like to be prepared so that's why I'm looking now to see what's available. I didn't know that about the Dwell flats, I think communal space is also a good thing so something to consider when, ( if we need to) make our final decision. We'll fingers crossed that when we need to start booking accommodation that we will be well informed.

I have emailed about Medlock House & they have said their is no availability for an en-suite room from Sept 2021! Do you have any experience if Dwell MSV accommodation? Or anywhere else that is good but not going to break the bank!! Also if only non en-suite rooms are available... How many would be sharing as some have up to 7 flats. Do you think en-suite is a necessity!?

We finally had an email from the school today. My daughter has not been offered a 6th form place at the moment but has been put on their waiting list. Congratulations to all who have had offers of mds fir their dc. To those still waiting.... everything happens for a reason & I'm sure your dc will reach their dreams too.

Hi my dd has also been offered a place for this September. Just now waiting to hear from Dada funding. I have been looking at accommodation but already some are sold out & I believe 1 of the blocks is having a refurbishment so even less choice it seems!

Hi Dancing panda could I ask if you have had all info about the funding date & times yet. We still have had no communication so I don't know if dd had been successful or not! I would have thought I would have some communication by now which ever way the outcome was. I have contacted the school but no reply.

Guessing it's a bit stressful not knowing exactly what you all need to plan for! I wish you all the best, we are still waiting for a result too let's hope we all get info soon.

Seems like everyone is waiting on mails! We still haven't heard if dd has been successful or unsuccessful for 16+. I did want to mail again today but dd wants me to leave it until Monday. I wish you all luck & hopefully everyone can get sorted with tests.
