    I thought about this they other day I usually have ocd about the numbers being straight. My DD numbers will be interesting if she has to do it her self.

    We are staying at a Marriott for Elmhurst. I know premier inn have a description on their website of who can stay and it does states you can stay for education. My hotel for WL was cancelled yesterday as it is now closed so I have moved to a travel lodge and they said whilst booking to make sure you take evidence of the final audition invite as you could be asked for proof on arrival.

    I have checked and it’s fine to use the letter from the school inviting your child to the final audition. I am going to print mine just in case we get stopped by the police as well. I have checked the government guidance and we are definitely aloud to travel for education x

    My DD has had her interview. She was in the room on her own for the interview and I shut the door so I couldn’t hear what was being asked or what she said. My DD said the lady was really nice and she really liked her. Good luck to everyone else x

    I also queried this and they also confirmed that you can still use the email or text result from the government report a lateral flow test system which is what the school uses.

    My DD is in the same situation shes not a JA and was SWL for year 6. I have told her to enjoy every moment of the audition and to keep dreaming big. It’s going to be a special day for all our DC.

    Just seen this also although now I am worrying about trying to get a covid test for WL when we could be at DD Elmhurst audition!

    I am positive these will be fine it’s the ones you just buy of the net that could be the problem because they probably won’t have a barcode.

    Someone put a link up in this thread I think it was Raquelle. I think the rapid antigen comes back in 15 mins and if you go to the test centre the company can email you the result. I haven’t found anywhere where we are though in Devon nearest was Bristol or Cardiff. I stopped looking when I managed to source a test through our secondary school.

    Have you tried your primary school some are testing teachers do they may be able to help. Also what about the rapid antigen tests they are similar to the rapid flow and around £85 I am sure someone else posted to say that the RBS had said they would accept a pcr or rapid antigen if you could not get a lateral flow.

    Hotels are open for education purposes and you are also allowed to travel for education. I am sure an Audition for secondary school would be counted as education. Fingers crossed anyway, I am hoping that dates will be as planned and that children will definitely be able to dance face to face.

    Can I just check with everyone who accepted the White Lodge Finals email, when you completed the online form and accepted did it just say the auditions team will be in contact. I was just wondering whether anyone had received email confirmation that you had confirmed the place. It just seems too simple to tick a box and submit.

    I read it as your DD will attend one session on either the Friday, Saturday or Sunday not all three. So either an AM or PM on one of those three days as they are seeing them in small groups.

    119 gave me the website address last night it is https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result. You may need the postcode of the organisation the test came from ie I was told I would need the post code of our local secondary school. I think you can also register the result by calling 119 as well x

    When I called 119 yesterday they also said it should be the school testing the children not us trying to find the lateral flow tests. I really hope they do something about it although a private pcr test would also be difficult for us to arrange as it would mean I would need to renew my DD passport.

    I have spent an hour on the phone to 119 tonight trying to work out what to do and questions about how it all works. The official results RBS are asking for only come from government issued tests which are those undertaken by the nhs, testing centres schools etc. Results from these tests can then be entered on line. A large proportion of community testing centres will give tests to under 16s. But others like mine and yours won’t. A private test brought online and taken at home won’t give us the email or text RBS require. As you won’t get the bar code needed to get the email back. Definitely try your local secondary school my dd primary doesn’t do the tests but the secondary school has agreed to test her. I did think about a pcr when discussing with the people on 119 tonight but they said don’t unless it is a last resort as what happens if the results are late or void! At least with lateral flow you can do another test if the result email doesn’t come through within a hour after submitting results. This is way to stressful I am so glad I’ve looked into it this week and not left it to the last minute.

    I emailed RBS today as our council is refusing to test my daughter via community testing as she’s under 16. I had already contacted our local secondary school as kids have twice weekly tests which are logged and you get an email and text result it’s through the government website. The school have confirmed they are happy to do the test. RBS confirmed they are happy with an email or text from this system. I would check with a local secondary school.
