  1. As far as I can tell the children are are all wearing full sole pink leather shoes. It may be that they have all chosen to wear those colours With their pink leotards and hair ribbons. The junior school sells the Dancewear according to the website. regardless, it is a heartwarming picture showing a group of little girls clearly in love with their dancing.
  2. It did surprise me, after reading this tweet and following the links that the pictures on their own website of their junior classes show all of the children in pink tights and shoes.
  3. That sounds wonderful. For the going rate of a 1:1 piano lesson my son had a zoom private piano lesson with a west end musical director. We unfortunately missed out on the small group musical direction session with the current Broadway MD of Hamilton as it sold out.
  4. My daughter is due to go into her graduate year in September. We paid and booked her accommodation for next year in halls of residence back in February. She doesn't have to pay anything until August but we intend to keep the place regardless of whether she is back in September or not. I don't think anyone, even the management of the schools and colleges know what will be happening in September. They are planning for several different scenarios. I don't want her to miss out on training time that she will never be able to get back again, but on the other hand she will not return to face to face classes until we feel it is safe to do so.
  5. No, some schools offer MDS but for Upper School the majority, I think, are on DADA. There is no accommodation/maintenance component of DADA except for the very lowest income families. However, I am inclined to agree with Peanut with regards to excessive “audition” fees simply for assessing a photograph.
  6. We’ve thought about upgrading to the interlock system when we complete some house renovations but you are right, it’s much heavier weight. The old bamboo square simply rolls up at the end of the day and you stand it in a corner along with the cascade.
  7. Marley is a brand name, I don't think it exists any more but it's used a lot in the US to describe vinyl dance flooring in the same way as we use the word hoover to describe a vacuum cleaner. With regards to Harlequin it's a shame they no longer make their bamboo dance floor. Its a square of wooden slats that you can place over carpet or other floor and then a square of Harlequin Reversible over the top. My daughter had one about five years ago and it has come in very useful this past few weeks. It cost £180 back then.
