No, I emailed them but haven’t heard back. I might call them this week or maybe if you email them too.
I called first but the lady I talked to wasn’t sure so I emailed the registrar and haven’t heard. It’s a long form to fill in so it’s annoying to have to start again for what will be the third time!
UPDATE
The registrar has just emailed to say the IT department are working to fix it so they will be in touch when it is working.

Has anyone successfully sent in The Hammond registration form? After filling it all in (it’s quite long) it won’t let me submit. 😭
Did you get this resolved @Ballet Power?
I’ve just got to the end of the form and I can’t submit it either?

Oh I’m so sorry there isn’t a MDS place but it’s an achievement that she’s been offered a place.
we haven’t received a letter yet….DS was on the 7th , hopefully tomorrow 🤞
That means we have even longer to wait as we were on the 10th. It’s torture! And longer than the 3 weeks they stated!
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Yes, we had a letter Saturday. we’ve been offered a place for year 8 with boarding but no MDS funding 😢. Not sure if they’re offering any MDS for yr8 this year?
Congratulations to your child being offered a place. That’s an amazing achievement. Sorry though that there is no funding available. As MissEmily says, very bittersweet.

Do you not have to submit an application anyway even if you attend the audition? How do they know their ages at the auction if you haven’t submitted applications.
I ask because I spoke to YBSS and DD is auditioning for the scholarship just to have a go. She’s only year 6 so is joining the year 7-8 audition and they said don’t worry because they will know her age. But I haven’t submitted an application yet?
I do intend to but your post @Ms Sunshinehas confused me 😁

Hi. I have no idea to be honest. They may have moved. I don’t know where I got the dates from originally 😁 I think I emailed and asked. It may be a moot point if we do t get through semis 🙈.
Just rereading again. I checked the dates quite a while ago. So they could well have changed.

On this topic, @SJBallet did you check these dates with RBS after they changed the boys finals in case they changed these too? Boys were 10th & 11th then moved to 7th & 8th, so I wonder if the girls also moved🤷🏻♀️ I didn’t think finals would be as early as 3rd March when the last semis aren’t until 18th Feb, and it will probably take them a week or so to get results out so that would only mean one weeks notice. Although this is the first year they’ve had semis so anything is possible I guess!

I think there are 4 current year 7s, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Glad my dd won’t be the only one, but sorry your dd has had a no as well. It’s been a tricky evening managing her emotions.
So sorry to hear your news. I know exactly how you feel. I told DD before her local dance classes on the Friday and she went straight to bed and didn’t want to come out. I let her have her time and by Saturday afternoon she felt able to see her dance friends. Sometimes they just need some time.
I hope your DD bounces back quickly. X

Can I ask parents of students going to Hammond MDS auditions about the enrolment forms. Do you have to pay £160 to even attend the MDS audition??? I emailed the school asking if the forms need to be completed , even if you needed MDS funded to attend, to which they replied yes but they didn’t mention the fee which says you must tick to say you’ve paid!!
Yes I think you do. I got all the way to the end of the form yesterday after ringing then and they said to fill in the form but like you I didn’t know about the fee. I’m going to have to start all over again as I didn’t have birth certificate etc.. to hand.

There’s been more movement - DD has been offered a place from the waitlist!
Congratulations 🎉

Fingers crossed for you @Ottobottohopefully we’ll all hear next week.
re Hammond funding finals. Does anyone know if they assess flexibility? I know they did at prelims but do they have another look?
-
Hmm perhaps I’m mistaken then. Unless it’s just at the mercy of our post service. Hopefully next week. Good luck x

Hi, was anyone at Tring in 6th / 7th Jan? I’ve heard 3rd hand that some results have been received???

Ha ha. Yes the receptionist said to us 3 weeks and I’ve just asked DD and she said she was told 3 weeks so I’m thinking towards the end of next week.
They weee in together weren’t they so depending on mail service we should hear around the same time. X

@SJBalletShe didn't, but my pupil said that on the day, the receptionist told her three weeks and the audition panel told her two...so who knows! Some point between this Monday and next Monday for us, let's hope! It's torture isn't it?!

We’re at the Dada stage, and typically my earnings for this year are considerably higher than they’ve ever been before, or are likely to ever be again!!!! 😩 ( for Sept 2022 entry they’ve asked for 21-22 earnings, not 20-21 as I’d hoped )
Oh no. Poor you!

Omg yes she’s living her absolute dream !
We’ve had home sickness but it was very short lived but I think that’s expected with them being so little still,They have exeat every 3 weekend so coming home for the weekend is never a million miles away plus I visit some weekends.
massive decision but seeing how much she is loving life I know I’ve made the right decision xThis really made me smile!

Does your daughter enjoy it? X

There are only 15 in year 7
12 girls 3 boys
10mds x
Thanks. I think she meant they could take up to 20 for this years intake. it’s still a long shot with so few MDS although at 10 it’s not a million miles away from RBS or Elmhurst.

The more you earn the more you pay. So those extra shifts you could work to pay for SS and pointe shoes when your allowance has run out will all get sucked back the following year. But don’t despair the DaDa is just once at the beginning of the three years 🎉
Were a long way of DaDa yet but that’s all worth bearing in mind thank you. 😁

Although August is ridiculously late. I’ve had a look at the calculators based on last year so I’ve got a rough idea but I like to be organised. August would kill me 😂

That’s great. Thank you @Raquelle

I did wonder that but I really can’t remember 😁.
I am hoping to do the application this week but I’m not relishing the photo battle that always ensues 😩
