My daughter auditioned this morning (she had a great time!) does anyone know how long we should be waiting to find out? Thanks X

My DD auditioned for a year 5 place on a Sunday this year and found out the following Thursday.

    Hope everyone gets good news!

My DD feet also very narrow have you tried so danca full sole canvas.  I think that’s what we will be going with as my DD usually has split sole canvas from so danca.  The full sole canvas are also really cheap.

Do you think the teacher will mind them not wearing the mandated shoe as it's full sole canvas? I'm keen to avoid reading the above but don't want to get DD in trouble.

My daughter is 137cm, I’m wondering if I should ask them to swap it but I just have visions of the age 12 being way too big!

I'm sure it will be ok! DD is definitely not a skinny build and is fine on her.

We wear the tracksuit - I think they are having a re brand or something? As we didn’t have the option of leggings before. So you might get an exciting new tracksuit 😅 The bottoms are very baggy so leggings are a good idea I think! They don’t show any pictures do they.. I love a rebrand...

The new shoes are pretty ermmm ....interesting 😬 if anyone has a recommendations for canvas full sole that come in a narrow fit? These are very wide. We have sized down but if anyone knows of any others I’d be grateful..

Oh that's good to know - I've actually ordered the tracksuit bottoms as I didn't read the uniform letter properly.  Spoken to DD and she's happy to stick with them, especially as they'll be others in them.

Having read the letter now I've realised that we should have got the shoes from the shop as well 🙈 DD also has narrow feet so I've contacted our usual shop to see if they can source a suitable pair - hopefully that'll be ok?

  5. Just tried the 8/10 leotard on my DD - it's (very) snug but think we'll get away with it. She's average build 139cm tall if that helps.

Do most girls wear the leggings or tracksuit bottoms?

Not long now! Tring CBA next week so last Saturday free for a while 🙂

Sorry I’m dreadful remembering names! So both our DC’s will be doing Elmhurst! My son is really looking forwards to this Tring audition as it’s a physical ‘real life’ experience. He was offered Ballet Boost which runs on almost the same term dates, so in theory it would be an either/or IF he were successful. But we’re just going with an open mind to see what happens and take it as an experience.

Ha don't worry - too many names to remember on here!

Found out that the others auditioning from my DD's class are also in group 5 - hope they don't ask anything too tricky. She's only grade 2 😫

My DS is auditioning in group 5. Tring CBA is the programme I know the least about, so I’m not sure how many children are in each group and how many places are potentially available. We shall put it down to experience I think and go without expectations. My DS is looking forwards to a live studio audition though.

Yes a live audition will be a novelty!

DD is in Group 4 though is going into year 5 like your son. Does anyone know how they are grouped?

Ooh fabulous I have no idea how to go to that haha! I had my email but not heard anything after my acceptance xx

Sorry I was reading on my phone and thought you had posted on a different thread! Didn't mean to answer for everyone on here 🙈

Well done anyway for getting a place!

Were you on the forum last year going for a yr 4 place? I feel like I recognise your name.

No first time going for any associates this year 😊

I was on the forum last year asking about Midland Theatre Ballet though so maybe where you know my name from?

I've seen so many people post stuff like this and then get a place, you really never know!! Good luck. Which year Birmingham is your DD going for?

Year 5 - she's also starting at Elmhurst where I think your DD is at so hopefully will see you there 😊
