  1. Looking forward to this tonight. Seems like South Africa is where it's at. Hope that's not going to be transferred to the the Rugby!

    The South African dancers are very impressive. Very strong and very confident with great technique, one in particular,at just 15 years old, is a joy to watch … have fun tonight.

  2. Thank you to all who rooted for my DD , what a great experience. Unfortunately nerves got the better of her but she did manage to show glimpses of the lovely dancer that she is. Lots of valuable learnings. We do appreciate your support . There are some fabulous dancers in the final … if you are going to watch have a wonderful evening.

Apologies if not allowed but just reposting from a Facebook advert and thought it might appeal to some  …..We’re looking for ballerina's between the ages of 9-15 based in London to play ballet dancers in a kids feature film. You must be available for dance workshops on Fri Aug 14th and Mon Aug 17th as well as the shoot days from 18th - 22nd August. Please email tutu@neon-films.co.uk with a sentence or two about your ballet experience, a picture of you dancing and confirming your availability for all dates.   4. My advice would be to be led by your daughter - maybe this year it just doesn't feel right for her. With a good exam result and continued praise she might feel differently next year and want to apply. If she applies against her better judgement and then doesn't get the result she wants she might never want to try again. All you can do as a parent is offer encouragement - good or bad (in your eyes) let her make her own decisions and trust her judgement . When the time is right she will be ready.
