Looking forward to this tonight. Seems like South Africa is where it's at. Hope that's not going to be transferred to the the Rugby!
The South African dancers are very impressive. Very strong and very confident with great technique, one in particular,at just 15 years old, is a joy to watch … have fun tonight.

Brilliant experience to have taken part Kat09 and it must have been truly nerve wracking.

Thank you to all who rooted for my DD , what a great experience. Unfortunately nerves got the better of her but she did manage to show glimpses of the lovely dancer that she is. Lots of valuable learnings. We do appreciate your support . There are some fabulous dancers in the final … if you are going to watch have a wonderful evening.

My son had it other day and was quite poorly 24 hours later! Shivery, achy, really bad headache, temperature and arm very hot, swollen and redness just bigger than a tennis ball size and very hard!
that sounds horrible - how long did that last for sblick?

I have just seen in the Evening Standard that the Bloomsbury Theatre will not reopen in time for this show because of the asbestos problem connected with their renovations.
What a blow for NYB and all the children ….. I hope that another venue can be found but I'm sure at this late stage that won't be easy.

She sounds so sad … if she were my daughter I'd be wanting her to seek happiness somewhere else. Such a shame after her dedication and passion for Russia.

My advice would be to be led by your daughter - maybe this year it just doesn't feel right for her. With a good exam result and continued praise she might feel differently next year and want to apply. If she applies against her better judgement and then doesn't get the result she wants she might never want to try again. All you can do as a parent is offer encouragement - good or bad (in your eyes) let her make her own decisions and trust her judgement . When the time is right she will be ready.
