sarahw
I know this has come up before but can't find it on a search. .... Am wanting a black pair of school shoes. DD also has a very high bony instep - she is currently wearing a Clarks 'Mary Jane' style shoe which are very flat and not supportive. The Clarks brogues cause blisters on the instep. I did find a Lelly- Kelly brogue in the past which was padded and ok. Our local upmarket shoe shops keep so little stock and they can never re-order once that has gone. I think we're going to have to take a long drive to a bigger town- having some Achilles tendon issues.
alison
Was it this one? http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/topic/4656-can-i-ask-would-your-year-7-daughter-wear-these-school-shoes/page-2#entry57257(I searched on "Mary Jane" in thread contents, all forums)

Moomin
What age group? Petasil shoes are very good for narrow feet. Or some of the ricosta styles are good
Yorkshire Pud
I agree with Moomin. What part of the country do you live in SarahW? There is an excellent kids shoe shop in Ilkley West Yorks called Shoo Be Doo that do shoes up to adult size 6.5 to fit all shapes of foot. They always managed to find something for skinny feet. sarahw
Great thanks. I have id a shop 1 hour away that sells both those brands. Ilkley is further but I will bear it in mind thanks if we are over there. All help much appreciated.
Nutcracker-x
Does anyone know of any school shoes that would be suitable for a 15 year old with a square front and aren't slip ons?
sarahw
Thanks for the help. We ended up with Geoxx. We had lots to choose from for a change...... And at £39.99 I think they're cheaper than the last Clarks pair but so much more support in the sole....
sarahw
Nutcracker do you really mean a square front or just not a pointy front?
Nutcracker-x
Not a pointy or overly curved one.

Nutcracker-x
We've tried kickers but the soles always ended up wearing away after about 12 weeks
sarahw
I don't think I'm qualified to comment on 15 year olds taste in shoes but I do have narrow feet. Generally adult shoes are narrower. I've found the premium adult Clarks (leather inner sole) fit well. Just had a quick look on web site and wondered about Etna Lime, Felicia Plum and Coffee Cake. They have a choice of widths. Good luck
