Bailarin
Guess I'll just have to swallow it then and pay. Does seem daft when she probably won't get offered a place anyway. Wish they would ask for it after finals!
JulieW
I think you've all got a case these days to ask the schools to hold on on their medical requirement until they're offered a place. It's too much money to pay out when the school might not offer them a place. If something was turned up by a go the school could withdraw their offer and offer a place to someone on the waiting list.
Tulip
Can you not put on the form, medical details to follow?
Bailarin
They ask for it back before finals. I shall hold on to it for as long as possible though. Told the Dr I would pick it up from reception and think about it thanks very much! I don't mind paying once for wherever she goes but don't want to do it multiple times. Kat09
If it makes it more palatable,we found that it was acceptable to copy the original report for the other schools.
Moneypenny
Ballerin, if your dc is already at vocational school, would ENBS not accept a med report from the current school? Just a thought.
Lottie
Four years ago I had to pay £110 for DS's medical. We did copy it to send to other schools wanting one before finals and they were all OK with that.
Lottie
Just found this from a couple of years ago on this forum: http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/topic/2986-6th-form-doctors-letter/?hl=medical
beckyl
I live in the south east of England which is one of the main centres for horse racing. I know jockeys are charged about the same fee £100+ for their medicals (it's posted prominently in the surgery- there are a lot of them!)
