Yes, that's who I was thinking of, Angel Corella, I saw him dance with Alina Cojocaru, I can't remember who partnered Laura Morera in the same run.

I have the same dancers in my mind, Janet!  I also saw Laura Morera and Ivan Putrov. I've a feeling that it was Laura's debut in the role the day I saw them.  The performance took place during the Royal Ballet's ROH Summer Season in 2002.  Unusually that year they were performing in the ROH in late July/ early August.  Laura Morera was, if I remember correctly, replacing an injured Alina Cojocaru.

That's not at all what I imagined.  I have only seen one pdd from this piece and it involved the protagonists rolling around in some rather dodgy-looking underwear.  If sharp weapons are involved, I hope they get more protective clothing.   Still, if fencing's involved then it's right up Graham's street.  Looking forward to reading his review!
