Closing Newcastle and Totnes JA centres

Anyone know why these centres are closing for RBS JA’s? Read about it yesterday in their newsletter and curios

They wrote to the Associates and said it was due to falling numbers in these areas.  They are moving Dundee too

Would be great if they had an associates centre in Wales! I've always wondered why they don't...lots of talented Welsh ballerinas!

So if you live in Cornwall then it’s a 2 hour plus drive to Bath for a ballet class 😅 I’ve done worse 🤣

My DC was in Totnes JAs, such a shame it’s closing as really enjoyed our time there and helped to have a link with the Royal Ballet,  not so easy to get to Bath/London depending on where you are in the South West.

It may simply be that they can't find teachers. RBS was advertising a couple of months ago for a JA teacher for Totnes and I looked at the details wondering if it would be worth applying even though it would be a  very long drive. When I saw the hourly rate of pay, my reaction was "You've got to be joking" it was so low!
