Anna C Posted June 28, 2023 Share Posted June 28, 2023 It’s been confirmed that actor Julian Sands has died, after going missing several months ago on a solo hike. Sands as George Emerson in Merchant-Ivory’s “A Room with a view” was one of my first film crushes. I fell in love with him, along with Florence, the River Arno, and Puccini. I remember him from The Killing Fields the year before - he was one of the people trapped in the French embassy as the Khmer Rouge were advancing. He was absolutely wonderful in A Room with a view.
