International Dance Day was nominated/decided by a department of UNESCO, but other days are picked by other groups and it’s just a matter of whether they catch on worldwide or with enough organisations. Eg “Star Wars Day” (May the fourth.....geddit), “International Talk like a Pirate Day” (in September, a hit with small children I gather). It’s also a bit confusing when there’s a national and international version- apparently there is a National Tea Day (celebrated on the late Queen Elizabeth II’s April birthday) and an International Tea Day on a different day! 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As usual, the compilation of impressive dancing would be slightly more impressive if the ROH social media team bothered to credit the performers in each clip! (Yes, even for the chickens in Fille!
