Follies at The National Theatre

Was wondering if anyone had seen or was going to see this?

I went on Thursday after a horrid day involving a missed job application deadline and missing out on the matinee of Akram Khan's Giselle ( a performance I'd booked months ago and was due to see with a dear friend). To be honest I very nearly didn't go to see Follies as I was ready to give up on the day. However I am so pleased I did, didn't go with any expectations and was blown away. 

Highly recommend.

Lucky you. A show I have always wanted to see.

Oddly enough when I was in London last November I too missed a performance of the  Akram Khan Giselle I had booked months previously. But that was   my own  stupidity ☹

I saw this at the beginning of September and really enjoyed it. For anyone who is an opera fan Josephine Barstow, although only in a small role, is superb in her solo. Thoroughly recommend it.

Loved it! Tickets are like gold dust but thoroughly recommend trying to get to see the live screening.

There are some tickets available over the Christmas period. Definitely worth it. 

 

Pulcinella, I didnt know who Josephine Barstow was before I saw Follies, but I'll certainly remember her beautiful solo/duet with younger self for a long time to come. It really grabbed my attention.
