Saw this story on the BBC website and I was like couldn't quite believe it and just had to share it

The authorities in a major region of Siberia are to discuss accusations by a local archbishop that The Nutcracker ballet is not a children's Christmas treat but rather a "work of the occult".

As I read it, this is a traditional production. The there is no werewolf Prince.   The archbishop has characterised the role as a shapeshifter (also commonly translated as werewolf) and therefore in the realm of magic and not Christianity.

I almost hope a ballet company tries to perform a Harry Potter ballet there. Those clerics would have a cow.
