My dd is eleven. I think the main focus of the assessment is to ensure that the dancers are in the correct class and to provide feedback for them rather than assessing out but, as with all dance programs, one never knows. As dd has only been there a short while I don't know if assessments are done annually.

Good luck to you dd Balletmum20 and to all auditioning on Sunday. My dd got in last November. Her audition was on 18th and we received the letter (which was dated 19th) on 21st. It may take a bit longer this time as the assessments of current students are not until 12th May and this may affect the outcome? Tring do tend to let people know quite quickly. The CBA is really good and my dd loves it so is hoping that she keeps her place.

Have already applied for my DD and two dance friends. It looks really interesting. That coffee in Costa sounds like a good idea kiwi mum. Would be good to catch up. :-)

My DD is also really enjoying the whole experience and is having fun. Has met some lovely DCs and will want to go again next year no doubt. Sorry things didn't go well for your DD Staceydor. Enjoy your girly time together. X

Hi. My DD was on SWL last year and had the same letter. I think there were 3 from her JA class on SWL and am not aware of any of them getting a place. There were probably others on the list too. I do know of one girl from my DD's school who was given a place from the SWL. Good luck to your DD and hope a place becomes available for her.

Hello Everyone. My dd auditioned for CBA in May this year but got a no. She auditioned again on Sunday and was thrilled to get a Yes this time. She is 11 and has been given a place in Class 3. She was also in Class 3 at the audition. Well done to the dc's that made it this time and to the dc's who got a no this time please don't despair - you are all lovely and it is really worth trying again. xx
