  1. Does anyone have an idea when the casting information will be released for the London tour?
  2. Alison "(BTW, Rojo appears scheduled to dance in all performances of Birthday Offering). " Where did you read this? The ROH website is still showing Nuñez & Soares on 3rd & 6th July. Soares confirmed recently on Twitter that he was dancing in Birthday Offering.

  4. I'm sure that everyone searches for all available grants, however in case it could help anyone with a Welsh connection. http://www.theelizabethevanstrust.co.uk/english/the-trust/ The Elizabeth Evans Trust was formed in 2005 to help fund young people who wish to pursue a professional career in the performing arts – whether as an actor, singer, instrumentalist or within stage management. If you are aged between 16 and 26 years old, can show a close association with Carmarthenshire or Wales and are in need of funding – either for a college course or a short term private project – then you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The Elizabeth Evans Trust is proud to continue Elizabeth’s work of supporting young peoples’ dreams of a life in theatre and the arts. The Trust is here to provide a complete package of support – so important to achieve a successful professional career.
  5. It was Dance UK that broke the embargo earlier, posting the ENB press release. It was hastily removed, but for a short while was there for all to read.
  6. That would have made perfect sense, Dave. I never quite understand why photographers aren't invited to dress rehearsals for other casts; this time particularly as few photographs will exist of Stix-Brunell, although I recall you took an especially fine one during her solo in Ballo della regina.
  7. (Edit: A home for old posts relating to BBC Radio 3's "In Tune" drivetime programme. Details and iPlayer links will be out of date.) Sorry for short notice, however In Tune is usually on iPlayer for one week. An interview with Christopher Wheeldon, accompanied by Royal Ballet ballerina, Beatriz Stix-Brunell. The programme runs from 4.30pm until 6.30pm.

  9. I really hope Zucchetti does dance Puck on Thursday, his début was superb. I strongly agree that he deserves some larger roles & has been rather wasted this season.
  10. Given time, I check these links daily, if not I work backwards. I usually read all those links involving UK based or visiting companies, or their dancers when guesting abroad. Also, choreographers, whose work I know, when they are working abroad eg new Scarlett in Miami, new Wheeldon in NY. The "out of the ordinary" can attract my attention. I appreciate these links immensely, for pointing me to articles I'd miss, & being a huge timesaver.
  11. I'd also like to thank all the compilers of Today's Links. They've provided links to many fascinating articles which I would never have discovered, & saved me much time in searching for those which I would have found. Carol
  12. Just want to thank all the committee members for giving their time & energy. I am willing to help or contribute should volunteers be needed. In response to Lee's request for feedback on areas we regularly use: I particularly appreciate the immediacy of the Forums for the latest news, quick responses to those casts or performances I've been unable to see, the invaluable ticket exchange for both finding those elusive tickets & also selling. I love being able to use Today's Link's to find reviews, hear about new books etc rather than searching wildly. Sadly, I realise finding these links is a time-consuming task. I eagerly await the photos from Rehearsals being posted, thanks Dave. Hope this sort of comment was what you meant. Good luck. Carol
