  1. Lets hope they all manage to get there in this awful weather!
  2. After the audition you get sent a list of rehearsal dates and at that point you could turn down your place if you needed to. I think my daughter just missed two half days so not too bad.
  3. Sounds like a fault to me, never heard of it happening before and surely it could damage the dance floor! I would return the shoes.
  4. Those turning 9 this academic year
  5. My dd is in Sunderland associates. The only things I would say to consider are whether you wanted ballet only or not (Sunderland only has ballet, I believe other places offer other classes too...?) and also there are no mid-associates at Sunderland so if you're hoping to continue onto mids after juniors you'd end up elsewhere for that anyway. Also the floor's a bit slippy lol!
  6. Perhaps something Peter-pan-ish?!
  7. Oops, heres the link: http://www.prsformusic.com/users/recordedmedia/ProDub/Pages/ProDubLicence.aspx
  8. This document explains that a produb is needed if its for professional use which would seem to imply that you don't need a licence if its for personal use...?
  9. CDs can be copied into different formats for personal use, not sure about DVDs though. If its for professional use you need a pro-dub licence.
  10. Videora I meant to say, silly autocorrect!
  11. Thanks, I've got a mac so will have a look at videotape. Our school uses iPods too by the way.
  12. That would be great, thank you
  13. I didn't know you could import DVDs to iTunes, how do you do it?
  14. Yes I've got it and it's a set of 3 DVDs.
  15. The grades 1-3 is 3 DVDs and costs £29. Seems daft!
  16. No experience of it I'm afraid, are you thinking if sending your child there?
  17. I'm sure they all used to be about £48! So they're gradually getting cheaper!!
  18. You can't get it cheaper anywhere else so your only hope is to buy a second hand copy but most people that have it are teachers and wouldn't be selling it!
  19. Me neither!! Probably means they're in London.
  20. She was going into year 4, age 8
  21. My DD is slim but quite broad and muscular too, as well as being very tall for her age. she got into Elmhurst JAs so I think they do consider varying shapes and sizes, definitely more so than Royal!!
  22. I can understand wanting to get an idea of the basics first, I hate feeling like I don't know what I'm doing!. I don't know of any intensive courses for beginners but maybe you could organise a couple of hours a day for a week or so with a local teacher to give her a basic understanding before she joins regular classes?
  23. I've done that with a bodkin, very fiddly and takes ages if the casing is quite small. The only way to do it though if your drawstring comes out completely!
