A breathtaking, wonderful performance with Calvin Richardson in particular signalling his claim to be Edās heir.
Plus a very well-orchestrated, revealing and touching salute to the retiree.
As others have said,āThank you for everything Ed., especially for being mesmerisingly and uniquely you in every role you have danced.ā
Ā
Ā Was he doing that long solo? The extra hair really threw me when trying to identify who it was...I couldn't work out who was doing that in the other cast either!

At R&J matinee yesterday, Juliet (Fumi Kaneko) tragically dying in the last few minutes of the performance, me pulling down my maskĀ š so my glasses donāt mist up, the chap in front of me looking at his smart watch. What the fudge! How can you be wondering what the time is at that moment?
Maybe heās Mr Tickle and heās checking her pulseĀ- 1

Having finally been able to view the cast sheet, I see Hay was Mercutio. I seem to be doomed not to get to see him in the role! Last time I saw 5 casts & no luck. This time I see 3 out of the 4 October casts & he's in the only one I don't see. Grrr! I do wish they'd announce Mercutio & Tybalt casting in advance.
I thought he was very good.Ā
Re debut, Ā Iāve seen him at least twice as Mercutio in 2019ā¦.22/5 and 1/6ĀĀ

I tried to have look up tonight's cast sheet - just curiosity, I'm not seeing this cast - but the link on the cast sheets page just goes to the main R&J page and then tonight's performance, as it's already started, is no longer on the list of performances. Has anyone managed to find where tonight's cast sheet may be?

Weāve got Friar Ponytail tonight. He looks a lot more willing to dispense poison than marry people.

I see from Gary Avisā latest Instagram post that the whole cast appeared at the opening night curtain call but that seems to have changed to the final actās cast for later shows.Ā

Thank you @Rob SĀ and @Silke HĀ for the lovely photos.
Does anyone recognise MsĀ Nadia Mullova-Barley, current an artist with the RB, in any of them? I saw her name on the cast sheet but I am terribly bad with faces.
The interest, of course, stems from my admiration for her mother, whose Mendelssohn concerto I find to be among the bests.
Ā
She was in an earlier act and wasn't in the curtain call

Is this where Juliet dives under the bed covers to hide from Paris? Because that might be seen as a potentially (and an intentionally) humorous moment that people respond to.
That often happens and it did with Yasmine too but that isnāt the occasion I meant, it was during the pdd when Juliet is ādeadāĀ -
I heard a flutter of laughing on two occasions during Act III and feel pretty confident that, unless it was coming from Mr Bravo, those responsible completely misunderstood Julietās movements and was nothing to do with Yasmine.Ā

Btw, @Rob S, do you happen to have taken a pic of Bonelli at the curtain call? If so I would love to see it ā I hate that ROH is not showing any material with them!
More Dante pics to come but Strictly is about to start and dinner is almost readyā¦Ā

Iāve just received a reminder for R&J performance next Saturday 23rd October.Ā
In this info it states that the performance starts at 2.30 pmĀI had always thought it was a 1.30 pm start?Ā
Has anybody else received a reminder with the time 2.30 on it?Ā
As am now confused š¤
Itās actually in the part where you can download the actual e ticket so itās on the e ticket on my personal events page that it says 2.30pm ....not in the general email info which does say 1.30pm still.ĀĀ
Although I'm no longer going to it my note in my trip list on my phone says 1.30....and it still says 1.30 on the What's On page of the website and on the My Events page, I can't view the ticket, presumably as I've had it refunded
