Man of the Day was indeed William Bracewell. I've waited 4 years to see him perform this role after being bewitched in Madrid by the performance he gave when standing in for Steven McRae. I just didn't want it to end tonight. From the first ironic and half hearted salute to Von R (no one else does it that way) all the way through his vulnerable portrayal of Siegfried, superb partnering and lyrical Act 3 variations with a difference, to the wonderful bouquet presented to him at the end, this was ballet heaven. Book to see him now in May, if you haven't already got a ticket. Just hang on in there until a Return comes up.
Agreed. In my opinion William Bracewell is magical, whatever he touches turns to gold.

Selling Stall Circle Standing D-36 for Friday evening 25/3 7:30pm - £11
Francesca Hayward, William Bracewell
Please DM if interested. Thanks

Superstar Yasmine gave another magnificent Odette/Odile performance tonight, and I was very positively surprised by Cesar Corrales, it just worked tonight.
And in my opinion Claire Calvert and Gina Storm-Jensen were the best matched (musically, technically and physically) 2 Swans in this run yet.

Given how good at dancer ID some of you are, does anyone know who the Odette & Von Rothbart doubles are tonight? I thought possibly Sae Maeda for Odette but wasn't certain. It didn't help identification attempts that I still had tears in my eyes from the Ukranian anthem.
I thought today von Rothbart in bird-form was Téo Dubreuil

I've now made the album available to the "public". I thought the settings had been for that already. Apologies.

For the 19th Feb matinee Mr Ellla is cast as both Benvolio and Mandolin dancer. Seems a lot to ask.
https://www.roh.org.uk/events/l07x1
This had been a real thing once before, at the O2 (2012 I think?) when the lead Mandolin was missing/sick and Sergei Polunin quickly danced lead Mandolin whilst being Benvolio.
