  1. Hi harwel welcome.......good luck to you son starting tring in sept my dd starts 1st form in sept can't wait. I find it will be good for my dd to be with people that have the same passion as she finds it hard that some of her current school mates think it's boring x
  2. My dd currently attends London junior ballet it is a fab place teachers are lovely and honest about child progress my dd learnt lots unfortunately she living coz she going full time to tring but she certainly would have stayed if she could x
  3. Is that for full time school? My dd starts sept and is 90% ballet bit of jazz contemporary and a 1% musical theatre she said when she auditioned her and 2 others did an additional bit one did music her and other musical theatre but rest didn't do anything and most did modern dance. There was only 3 including her did a ballet piece hope your dd gets a place xx
  4. Ok I didn't name any one or dance school but that's fine sorry. Xxx. legseleven I agree with your comments basically as that is the case xxx

  6. I have heard this that they hardly wear the blazers some one the second hand uniform shop is great xx
  7. I totally agree with you I will be glad when she leaves at the end of June. There was a totally different response from her dance teachers at London senior ballet they were very happy. Dd cannot wait for September xxx
  8. Amandalou1978 what year is your dd starting at tring? Do you know if they go for the day before they start? I agree with you all can not wait for sept my dd is so lucky to get a place so many have to wait for years xxxx
  9. So glad to hear ladies the dance school my dd goes is so royal ballet that ever since she got into tring their attitude changed towards her we knew that royal was not for her as she was not super flexible and dance school said she would not get in and really we wanted her to have a all round training as ballet can be limited. She cannot wait to get to tring as at the mo she is preparing for her grade 5 exam and it appears that they have not taught her the whole thing yet and there is only 6 weeks left. Xxxx
  10. Thanks for those comments it is nice to hear from someone who knows both. My dd loved tring from the moment she saw it and she did summer school last year which confirmed her choice. We wanted her to be happy with the dance course but also feel happy with the academic side as that just as important xx
  11. Hi all Not been on here for ages my dd starts tring park in sept year 7 she so excited but at the same time bit sad coz her dance school does not like tring they are very royal ballet and seem to believe that if you paying you get the place anyway can anyone tell me if you think the training on the dance course equally as good? I feel we made the right choice choosing tring. Also do the boys and girls have a transition day like they do in other schools? Xxxx
