  6. Great news! The dates have been confirmed for Natalia Kremen Ballet School Summer Intensive 2015. The summer course will run from 20th to 26th July 2015. It will be another great opportunity to learn from Natalia and other excellent teachers.
  7. Absolutely agree with Stardanser and Dr.f and their ballet children. That was a wonderful week. It was a very intensive 'Intensive' course. The students had to work really hard. Perhaps, some of the children who joined this course for the week have never even done that amount of work in a day/ in a week time. However, coming to the final demonstration class on Saturday, 2 August, we could see how much had been done and what had been achieved. The wonderful Lyudmila Konovalova, prima-ballerina from Vienna Opera, taught the younger group; Alexander Muntagirov, former principal dancer, professor, a man of such great knowledge and experience, taught the older age group; Natasha Nemytkina led character dance lessons; Kirill Burlov, sessions on contemporary dance; Simonetta lectured on the history of ballet. Along with Natalia Kremen, the principal of the school, they all deserve the highest praise, as does the administrator of the school, Karen. All worked so hard to make this week special. The students were so lucky to have a special visitor during the course week. Vadim Muntagirov was there to watch a ballet class and the final presentation. I am sure all the students learnt something new this week, perhaps learnt more about themselves, how to improve their technique, how to persevere and grow in confidence in ballet, having been encouraged by such amazing teachers.
  8. Regarding the "Pas de Dance" adults class in post 14, it is run by Natalia Kremen Ballet School.
  9. Natalia Kremen Ballet School Summer Intensive is for students up to 16 years old. At the moment the school time table doesn't include a group ballet lesson for older students but this may change in September. There is though a "PAS DE DANCE" class every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Royal Garden Hotel Health Club for adults. The class combines Pilates, barre work and ballet steps to help you stay fit and to improve flexibility.
  10. Very much so. My DD needed some private lessons when she first joined Natalia Kremen Ballet School in addition to the group ones she had. Although my daughter always had distinction for her RAD exams, joining her age group class at NKBS, she found she was very much behind. She had to work a lot on her technique. All the teachers are very helpful and supportive. Maybe doing Natalia Kremen Ballet Summer School would help your daughter get some ideas about what the school is like. The final date for application is 25th May, so you still have time.

  17. All teachers (except one) at Natalia Kremen Ballet School trained at former USSR professional vocational ballet schools which all follow the same method and syllabus (Vaganova). It is also quite possible that there will be guest teachers (Russian) to teach for the Summer Intensive Course. The school, in their normal regular lessons during the week, follows same class/syllabus as in both the Vaganova and the Bolshoi ballet school. Hope this helps.
  18. It is a non-residential course aimed at 11-15 years old children.

  23. I hope nobody minds the revival of this topic. As a friend of Natalia Kremen Ballet School I was lucky last Sunday to be able to see a wonderful performance by the students of the school, participating in a "Class Talent" show on the stage of Her Majesty Theatre. Students demonstrated excellent technique. The choice of music and choreography were great. The way the girls danced a Russian dance, they could easily have been mistaken for Vaganova students, so much poise and elegance. Very well taught and graceful, these students were also able to demonstrate their wonderful acting skills with mischief and comedy woven into the dances.
