  1. Still shocked about the photos....
  2. It's really heartbreaking - more reports like this one coming in, but all just quoting Izwestija. I started to believe the left eye was almost "fixed" to the best possible degree and that doctors would find a way for some improvement on the right eye as well.
  3. "Court to consider Bolshoi acid attack suspects' release - live coverage" on RAPSI - Russian Legal Information Agency. Here you can read almost real time what's going on in the court room http://rapsinews.com/judicial_analyst/20130416/267038142.html
  4. The author describes SF 's face as puffed up and blotchy like after a sunburn. "Walking into the cafeteria he feels his way forward holding on to his wife's arm". Furthermore they describe what we have read in other articles as well that he is in a fighting spirit and is eager to return to his job. The journalist expresses a wish to confirm to what extend SF is believing what he is saying, but due to the fact that he is wearing sunglasses misses that confirmation. They also mention that SF has been reflecting a lot about the book "A hero of our time" by Lermontow lately...
  5. Thanks, Janet. I did not know that and there is a chance I might have gotten carried away in my intent to help So I keep it short here. The article on "Zeit Online" is a long summary and evaluation of the incidents leading to the attack and their analysis of the current situation at the BT. The author also describes her impressions of SF's outer and inner state as they have met in the cafeteria of the clinic of Aachen for an interview. If anyone needs help with the translation just drop me a private note.
  6. and just to complete my quotes here is the link to "radio Stimme Russlands" (Radio Voice of Russia) with a weekly news round-up ( in German). The quote "Komsomolskaja Prawda" saying the eyesight on the left eye is about 50% and getting progressively better... They were the only ones ever to mention a percentage about the restored eyesight and since the doctors themselved didn't provide that yet, it's probably too early to be considered a fact. http://german.ruvr.ru/2013_03_09/Wochentliche-Presseschau-04-03-10-03-2013/
  7. I also have the feeling there is a complete shut down - also no indications of anything on the FB pages of wife/mother/sister.... Did you see the clip on youtube from Russian news where they showed pieces of his eye treatment still in Russia ? They had a doctor explaining the situation and again my Russian is too bad to really grasp all of it.
  8. Found it faster than expected. It was in "Zeit Online" though. It's in German and it describes the situation and how they met SF in Aachen for an interview. It was published on March 24th. If someone would like more information (translation) I'm happy to assist. http://www.zeit.de/2013/12/Bolschoi-Ballett-Moskau-Saeureanschlag
  9. yes, fingers still crossed that they will manage to do miracles on the right eye. In one article I read a statement that the treatment of the left eye has achieved 50% eye sight - on the other hand I read another article where they ( I think it was Sueddeutsche Zeitung) described meeting Sergei Filin in the cafeteria of Aachen clinic and he had difficulties finding his tea mug... I hope Aachen will do an official press release soon..
  10. No matter how I try to search for news nothing here as well...
  11. Vicotr Hochhauser has just announced that they will publish "some if not all" casting tomorrow on their Facebook page
  12. Ismene Brown quotes Marina Kondratieva in her blog as that the casting for London is not yet final and there may be changes due to injuries or dancers leaving the Bolshoi.
  13. Here is a report on Ismene Brown's Blog which explains how the newly established ballet council operates and for me it put the letter from the Bolshoi to the President a little bit into persperctive. It also indicates that the casting for London is far from being final. http://www.ismeneb.com/ismeneb.com/Blog/Entries/2013/3/25_Bolshoi_artistic_council_says_no_to_dancer_participation.html
  14. thanks, for the translation, Clarissa. And you are right, I set this link as an example of various articles I found on Russian news pages and I didn't want to upload plenty of those here. I understand your posts as a summary what you are reading in Russian websites and I'm glad we have forum members who can provide a variety of views and information from different countries.
  15. thanks for keeping us informed, Clarissa. During the past two weeks I was unable to find any updates from the doctors in any newspapers - not even the local ones from Aachen. Let's keep our fingers crossed, that the doctors will also be able to successfully treat the right eye.
  16. There are articles in Russian newspapers talking about Tsiskaridze fearing to receive a third warning from the BT which could lead to his dismissal. As my Russian is very limited maybe a member with better language skills could verify. Here is one of the links: http://www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=1067441#.UVUxlfAhF-g.facebook
  17. Here is an article about the skin treatment they performed immediately after the attack on Sergei Filin - it's in English http://rbth.ru/science_and_tech/2013/03/28/russia_pioneers_artificial_skin_for_real_people_24393.html
  18. Casting is out for Sunday's Esmeralda Alexandrova - Savin - Skvortsov - Krysanova Here the official link to the wp of Pathe http://www.pathelive.com/fr/sp/spectacles/le-sacre-du-printemps
  19. I start to believe it would be better for SF to consider a job abroad - if there are not going to be major changes - this would at least make a good point...
  20. I wish I could "like" the post 10 times !!!
  21. Just out of curiosity I checked a few performances and there are still plenty of tickets available in all categories. Even The Flames on Friday where everybody is betting on Osipova/Vasiliev still hold 50+ and 100+ tickets in the different areas. With Hochhaeuser mailing list access everybody should still be able to purchase their tickets (I guess).
  22. New articles about Tsiskaridze and Pronin emerging like this one on Moscow News http://themoscownews.com/arts/20130318/191348901/Bolshoi-principal-dancer-Tsiskaridze-threatened-Filin--report.html
  23. My concern roots from that I would hate to applaude someone who was involved in planning and/or organising this horrible attack. I sincerly hope the case will be fully solved soon. I'm glad I purchased tickets mainly for The Flames.
  24. I also gave it some consideration prior to actually booking tickets for London. When SF was transferred to Germany for further treatment I sent an email to the Bolshoi wishing him well and letting them know how I felt about the horrible attack. I received a very friendly email back and they suggested they would find a way to let SF know about people writing in. So maybe letting them know people around the world still care and follow the investigations to get the guilty ones and to know the real story behind this attack will help them to introduce profound changes in their system of how they run the theater. Reading the letter several dancers, musicians and other Russian people have signed I'm even more confused and unable to figure out what is going on.
  25. Cherchez la femme !! Here comes the girl in.. At this point it can only be speculation what triggered the events, but the article on the Financial Times points out very well how the protagonists may be linked.. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/ec666434-857d-11e2-9ee3-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2MkD2LFCb
