A haunting story of innocence and betrayal, and a timeless tale about the redemptive power of love, Mary Skeaping’s Giselle features some of ballet’s most dramatic scenes and otherworldly images. Adolphe Adam’s classic score is performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic. English National Ballet is presenting two versions of Giselle this season. Mary Skeaping’s classic production of the iconic ballet follows Akram Khan’s contemporary reinterpretation which had its world premiere earlier in the season, and returns to Sadler’s Wells in September 2017.
