dancing10
Do studnts have to take A levels alongside their dance studies if lucky enough to gain a place in the sixth form at Elmhurst?

Lifeafterballet
Yes, two A levels. There is a reasonable choice of subjects available, not all academic, and others I believe negotiable. That is what we were told last year at the auditions ????
dancing10
I should have found this out sooner, I think this is the only school where they are compulsory isn't it?
Lifeafterballet
A parent last year asked the question about whether his Dd had to do A levels and was told that they did. There is quite a choice ! A current parent maybe able to help you more or if you wait until my Ds auditions on Wednesday I will ask ????
wildflowers
Think Tring do A levels and Royal does one A level and Btec, enbs don't do A levels but might do btec type thing? Central, RCS and Rambert are degree courses I believe so no A levels but still an amount of study involved.
taxi4ballet
A-levels are an optional extra at Central.

Stirrups36
Yes, they do A levels alongside the Trinity course. A restricted choice of course, but if you want something may be able to accomodate. For example, my son could not do French this year, but maybe next year it would be possible. All depends on staffing and timetables.
