Mark T
Please could anyone advise me on whether it is still possible to get a shoe fitting with Bob Martin? My daughter had all her shoes made by him before he closed his factory and has had a few pairs sent to her since via Bloch(arranged through the company she works in). However she feels her feet have altered and would like to be remeasured next time she is in the country.Does he come to the London shop? How do you make an appointment? Is there a long waiting list? Thanks for any help.
Anna C
Yes, if you ring the Bloch shop on Drury Lane, they will tell you how to make an appointment with Bob - I think you then email him and arrange an appointment direct with him.
Mark T
Thank you Spannerandpony. Do you know roughly how long it takes to get to see him?
Anna C
No, I haven't made an appointment with him but was chatting to the Bloch fitter about it. I THINK it was a couple of weeks but I'm not sure.
taxi4ballet
I emailed him several weeks before we were going to London, and were able to arrange an appointment no problem.

Mark T
Thank you everyone. I've passed the information on to my dd so she can organise an appointment for when she is next home from Germany.
Sugar Plum 64
Just to add, there is an additional £10 fee per order for Bob's shoes and they will not give any student discount so this make the shoes very expensive, especially as it will probably take several fittings / pairs of shoes until you are really happy with them. However, his advice and knowledge are excellent.
