Jan McNulty
A career in dance is so comparatively short that dancers, however hard they find it, must have plan Bs and beyond. I came across this article while I was culling the links this morning and thought it was a good read about a dancer moving on when his career was cut short by injury: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/dancer-turned-doctor-landed-in-second-dream-job-after-injury/article25841364/

FullContretemps
I really like this! What a good find. I love how often things just fit together - and it really shows how the skills gained from ballet life are applicable way beyond their original context. Guest
What a fabulous positive story! If you enjoyed it I would recommend the website and story of Helene Raynsford. I was privileged to hear her speak a few years ago and she is extraordinary. Her dance training at RBS cut short at 17 due to injury, she went to university and was subsequently in an accident that left her severely diasabled and in a wheel chair. Undaunted she took up rowing and became a paralympian gold medallist. Her health problems did not end there sadly but she is an inspiration.
