    My daughter has her audition in May but is really nervous due to getting a no from Northern Ballet and her confidence being knocked. She got a recall after first set of auditions but wasn’t chosen ultimately and whilst she is usually a very resilient child, it has hit her a bit harder than expected. (I think because a close friend of hers got in and they got excited at the prospect of going together) Does the fact that the Northern ballet said no pretty much guarantee the RBS will too? I know there is no way of definitely knowing but I know RBS is the hardest to get into.

    @lucy14 It’s a no for us too unfortunately. Feel quite sad this year because she’s worked so hard and really wanted it this year but we’ll try again next year.

    @lucy14 Yeah definetly! But from what I’ve heard, the current JA’s get their results first. I’m really hoping we find out by the end of this week or the beginning of next. My daughter has been asking quite a lot and the anticipation is too much now 😅

    It only took 2 days to get an email about the final audition but wondering if this one usually takes longer? I don’t think I’ll relax until we get it 😅

    My daughter is the same. Went to her audition on 3rd March and was offered the final audition a few days later. Now waiting for results for final 🤞

    Anyone else anxiously waiting on results? Does it usually take a while? Refreshing my emails every hour is probably abit obsessive but my daughter wants it so bad this year and I want it for her.

    If they get in CAT can they do both or just one? My daughter was at the final auditions for associates.

    @BalletMummy123 Yeah I was suprised by how many there were! But then again it said on my letter not to worry about group size, as they place a lot at this age, so not sure what to think… My daughter has asked me two mornings in a row if we have had the email yet

    My daughter’s abit worried about box splits, as she can’t go to the floor yet. Shes almost there but not quite and she’s worried this will affect her chances. @Diagon This audition is an hour and 15 like the first. Thank you for everyone’s replies! I guess all we can do is wait and see.

    Just found out my daughter has made it through to the final audition in 2 weeks and I wondered if anyone could give me any info about what to expect? Is the final audition usually harder than the first for example and do they do things like splits? My daughter is excited but nervous.

    This year my daughter wants to apply for royal ballet associates again and we have applied for northern ballet associates, for the first time as well. Is northern ballet a similar audition to royal ballet associates? And does anyone recommend any other associate programmes within Yorkshire?

    Northern ballet is on a Friday at the same time as my daughters normal ballet class 😓 I will look at Elmhurst though thank you
