Hi, I've recently completed my qualifications with RAD on the CBTS course; its very much independant study and worked for me as opposed to ISTD as I couldnt get to any of the centres which offer it. The only in person requirements are a teaching post for the 2nd year, somewhere local to you, and a 10 day in person course which can be at RAD HQ or sometinmes other venues. This can also be online as they run it for international students, but not always.

Hi Somerdance, my dd had a no from Tring but a yes from YDA, shes been very happy there and in yr 10 now.

Hello, this is my first post so please excuse me if I make mistakes. My dd is year 10 at a vocational school, so auditions are approaching for a 16+ school. She plans to apply for all the major UK schools, but we would like to look at other European options as well. Does anyone have any reccommendations for classical schools further afield? Particularly any which are good with young English students; she will be only just 16 when she starts and does not speak any other languages (apart from GCSE French). The closer the better to the UK! Also; I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows of which types of dancer might suit different schools? Any thoughts would be wonderful, many thanks

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I am also waiting for results on RBS summer intensive, hadnt thought it might be today and now I keep checking emails every 5mins!! Lets hope its soon. x
