  9. Thank you, do you know why they have a 60min then a 90min ballet class on same day, are they different classes do you know who the ballet teachers are?
  10. No I've not had anything yet. Probably this week some point x
  11. What I have learnt this year with doing the process, it does not matter how many classes you are doing, what grade you are at, and how good you are, it's all about potential, I know someone this year who does one class a week? Only grade 2, and only started ballet 7 months ago, but still got into a top school with funding!! So I'm not sure it matters, and yes that seems a lot to me too! X
  12. I'm also about to order, school uniform I'm doing x2 of most things, and dance I will do x2 xx
  13. Good morning, does anyone have the year 7 timetable at the moment, I want to have a idea of how much ballet they do each week?
  14. Twinkles mum. My dd is a elmhurst associate and a Cba, my dd had that very letter the first time she auditioned, I then rang Tring to see what the letter meant, and they said they were very much interested in my dd and just thought a little bit more training and then she would be ready for the Cba course, but they thought she was not quite ready at that time! I would say doing both course now for 3 year Tring is good cause it really pushes all the kids there to there own ability, and elmhurst is good cause it concentrates on technique but does not push the kids, they do things in the class for there age, but both courses are excellent and would recommend both and with all the excellent training my dd was lucky to get a funded place at a full time school to start in September xx don't give up try again xx
  15. And yes some groups may have very few places, I know in group 3 only 1 girl is leaving and a few have left mid term, so only a few places xx
  16. No not all group 1 will be new if when they had assessment , some might not be ready to move up to group 2 x
  17. I think they are waiting for all current Cba students to confirm if they will be carrying on in September 1st before they offer places x
  18. Out of interest tulip, how were hammond with you auditioning at another school in year 7 x
  19. There all different - Tring Cba - letter/ about 2 weeks Elmhurst - letter/ 1-2 weeks Royal - email, long wait, they wait till each centre has finished auditions That's all I know about
  20. It depends, there is no set amount, some classes have 15 some only have 12, xx just depends if they like what they see at the audition they would take you x
  21. My dd is at the Cba already in group 3 aged 10, when we auditioned when she was 8, she never had done that much dancing, could not do the splits and was not in a excellent school, it is all on potential, 2 years on my dd done all the auditions this year and is on reserve list for elmhurst and Tring, and got a mds for hammond, so I really don't think it's done on how much training you are having and if it's a better school x hope that helps, good luck, the Cba classes are excellent and we are very sad to be leaving this year x
