For WL it’s pliés one side , tendus one side, battement jetés one side. Then Cambrés both sides and grands Battements both sides 

It’s not just JA boys auditioning. There are 12/13 year 6 boys in my DS Elmhurst class too as well as a couple in year 6 Birmingham JA centre. Then there will be children who don’t attend associates auditioning too. 
 

it’s going to be a lengthy and anxious process I fear but I have plenty of Gin to help!! 

When was the closing date for WL? Was it the 4th?

I wouldn’t worry too much... I missed out a couple of things on my DS Elmhurst video and I am his dance teacher!!!! 
I sent it and realised afterwards. I think they know what they want and what they are looking for and make that judgement very quickly. Please don’t panic if it’s not perfect or anywhere close to being perfect. Xx

Solo? I thought it was improvisation for Elmhurst and a solo for Tring? 🤔

So where it says 1-2 minutes of free movement to music of your own choice... is this meaning improvisation? Basically not a prepared solo?

video and just adding in the extra bits Elmhurst has asked for rather than doing a completely new video as also have one to do for Tring and that’s totally different too!! 😱😰

Also they skip through parts of video etc so won’t watch all of it from start to finish .

DD was watched all the way through I think if I’ve read it right (not sure how YouTube really works!) 

If you go into the analytics and click on where it looks like a triangle which shows it’s been watched then click on that and it will give you the total time . 
 

I do t read to much into length... a girl got JA’s last week and her 3 videos were only watched for a minute each !! They know straight away if it’s an instant “ yes” or instant “ no” . The maybes need more watching I’m guessing.

We sent our video in during half term. Then they extended the closing date until January. However I’ve just checked DS video and it was viewed yesterday for just under 6 minutes??!??? 
could this be them sifting through them now as original closing date for fave to face auditions was around now? Or maybe they are just trying to get ahead of themselves ?

No the first one is their biggest concern for sure.. all about the body 

So glad I did my DS video in half term even though it took 2.5 hours to film and get right it was worth it. Now have the Tring video to do which has a completely different spec!!! May email Tring and be cheeky and see if they will accept the Royal video??? Closing date for Tring is end of December... who knows if we will be back in the studio by then 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looks like we are going into next week.... 😩😩😩😩

That’s so surprising!! I mean obviously wonderful for your DD but odd that they can see all they need to see in the 1st video in only 30secs. They look at feet, flexibility and turnout in that video which runs over a good few minutes. 
Well done to your DD . I hope a place becomes available for her x

We haven’t had any more views in the past week. 
min total we had 12 minutes viewed of the 1st video over 3 watches and 5 minutes of the 2nd and 5 minutes of the 3rd.... who knows what any of this means 🤷🏼‍♀️
