  1. Is today possibly the day for frantic refreshing? 😬
  2. Were roughly the same. Totals of 12min of 1st video (3 views), 6min of 2nd video (1 view), 6min of 3rd video (2 views). Nothing watched this week except a minute of 3rd video. With so few places I imagine selection will come down to impossibly fine details/comparison between applicants. But I guess we will never know what any of this means. 🤷‍♂️
  3. I’ve just resigned myself to the fact that, regardless of the outcome, this was an immensely difficult year for all applicants. Looking at the number from the annual reports, there seems an ever-increasing number of applicants each year. (I remember Elmhurst saying in their correspondence they were also dealing with a record number of applicants). And this has presumably coincided within a year where COVID restrictions have ‘created’ fewer spaces than ever. I’ll be happy when this (10 month?) process is over, regardless of the outcome. 😅
  4. Yes, it’s a lovely thought if it might be tomorrow. But I imagine it depends who the final decision lies with, and if the ‘shortlist’ needs a final viewing...probably more like next week as you say.
  5. Wondering what will be announced first; American presidential results or Group 4 JAs 😂 Really hoping this doesn’t stretch into the 4th week 🤞
  6. Hopefully everyone on this forum has now had their videos viewed. It’s wether they try and wrap decision making up this week, or go through to end of next week.... 😬
  7. Absolutely, it makes my mind (pointlessly) spin. Other than the 5min view of video 2 the first time, it hasn’t been viewed again. They now keep looking back at video 1 and 3 only.
  8. I’m seeing part 1 and part 3 get another short viewing this morning, roughly 1 minute each, just like a couple of days ago. This happened the other day. Again, no repeat view of the 2nd video....
  9. Yes, submission deadline was Monday 19th October, so they’ve had all the Birmingham videos for 2 full weeks now. Friday 13th will be the last working day of the 4th week. I did note a few previous groups got results back within 3 weeks. But I’d be surprised if Birmingham got a smaller number of applicants than usual...
  10. @Isabella @SarahG1881 that’s good to know. Appears they started with the Y5s and have maybe viewed a handful of Y4s. Seems we might have to wait until Friday 13th after all.
  11. Given the representation in this group, there appears to be more places given this year to Y4s, against previous years where they apparently give more places to Y5s.... so again, it would make sense that the Y4s will get a thorough review of videos before any final results are sent out...
  12. That’s very strange. Do you think you’ll email and ask? I would have thought that the current JA students will already be in fixed groups, and any new group will be a mix of new Y4s and Y5s. So surely they can’t give results until all auditions have been fairly viewed?
  13. The optimist in me says the second views for my DS mean he’s hopefully (at this stage) still in with a chance. The cynic in me says that chance is, at very best, another year with SWL. He’s at the very youngest end of the year group, and my (unproved) gut feeling is that they go for the older end of each year group. Only time will tell I guess, but hoping it’s this week that her than next. It’s more to have the peace of mind that that extremely lengthy process is over and we can focus on other things. Some of the summer courses have January application deadlines, so preparing the application videos for that during lockdown will present its own unique challenges I’m sure.
  14. Yes. I see those deadlines are 17th November, so technically they could take 2 weeks to keep looking at Group 4, but hopefully they’ll just want in wrapped up (like us!!!)
  15. I’m sure there are far more important and worrisome consequences of the upcoming national lockdown than a ballet associates application, but it did make me wonder if they’ll be keen to get this all wrapped up and decided within this third week, or if it will cause inevitable delay to eventually deciding group 4...
  16. If you look at the analytics on the phone app, they are instant, happening in realtime. if you look at the analytics on a desktop/laptop, they take around 24/48 hours to update. So it looks like we've had roughly the same number/timing of viewings, and the 2nd video ignored second time round...
  17. Me too! We applied for London last year and we were the last centre to wait for. I think Birmingham was first. I thought Birmingham would be first again this year, so typical we have the longest wait again! Are you waiting for a Y5 result too?
  18. The time this process is taking has officially driven us mad 😝
  19. My DS is July born. I remember taking him to his Y4 London audition. They were lined up by number which was dictated by age. My DS was last but one in the queue , and second from youngest. He said they performed in lines of 3, so presumably they were looking at children within the upper age limit, middle, then younger limit. Maybe they’re working roughly in that way this year, looking at year 5 first then year 4 second...?
  20. Me too, I was thinking about 3pm ‘It’s half term and nice to have a weekend not to be thinking about ballet’, then I make the tragic mistake of looking at YouTube, and my mind is now working overtime 🤪🤯
  21. Yes, last week was 9/10 min of part 1, 5 min part 2, 5 min part 3. Today is 2 min of part 1, 1 min of part 3. Each video has only been viewed twice. Definitely paying most attention to video 1.
