My students thoroughly enjoyed the ballet class said the teacher gave them loads of feedback throughout... but the panel didn’t look away from the boys. I was aware beforehand that they were particularly interested in me sending boys (I sent a mix) I just wish more places would adopt the Hammond associates approach and not audition girls when they aren’t looking for girls.
Ive had a very long day so maybe this is the cynic in me escaping for a rant- apologies!
Ahh I see!!
That's such a shame!! Sorry to hear this.
I expect that will be the same vibe for London then. Only time will tell I guess.

Also a no for us for bath. But totally expected and really enjoyed the whole process. Now pinning all hopes on bbo Scholars results. 🤞🤞
Good luck for all those still waiting xx

Still waiting for Manchester! There’s a post on facebook saying they will be out this week apparently
Sooner rather than later I hope!!
I'm surprised no one else has applied on here........

Hope Leeds results come out tomorrow and good luck @Luna @SJBallet @tutugirl
Wow that is amazing about 5 of yours getting into EYB @tutugirl !!! I would love to know more about EYB but can't find the info on the website. Does it clash with Saturday associate classes? Is it every week or just a few classes before the show?
Fingers crossed Bath will be this week @Balletcat800 and @Daintydancer 🤞🤞🤞 We had registration at 10.30 so must have been in the group after you. There must have been so many applicants if it was only kids younger than May in the last group! My DD is last week of August and there were 2 younger than her! (They were in age order and she was 2 from the end).
Good luck everyone still waiting!!! xx
My daughter is 8, 9 in November, so a fairly oldish year 3, but in group 1. I wonder why she was before yours 🤔

Getting closer to Bath, maybe tomorrow but we have Leeds to come first.
@Daintydancer are you going for year 4? We were in group 2 on 23rd. My DD is an August birthday.
I so hope it's tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞 my DD was group 1 for Yr 4
Congratulations to all the yeses today ❤️

@Balletcat800 and @Twirlygirl09 same here! Auditioned in Bath 1st choice with 2nd choice Birmingham.
Had a bit of inside info for bath today. A friend has a JA daughter going up to year 6. She said she knows of around 7/8 places available.
However...... There must be at least 250 kids that applied?? I'm assuming it's 5 groups a day? Bath was two days... And in my daughters group there were 25 in her group 🙈🙈

Hi, I'm sorry I have no idea. The boys class DS is in was a brand new class set up for them so only has a few boys in it.
No problem. Thank you anyway. Good luck to your DS at Hammond.

We too are patiently waiting! I have a question and haven’t been able to see anything relating to it previously so maybe someone can help? It’s regarding 2nd choices! Do you find out with results of 2nd choice centre or with where you auditioned? My DD auditioned in Bath which was her first choice and we selected Eastleigh as second choice centre. So will we find out with the Bath results if she got her second choice? Thanks 👍
Were the same. Bath 1st choice, Eastleigh 2nd, Birmingham 3rd. Doesn't look like we're gonna get Bath results till next week now 😢 good luck 🍀🤞

Good luck everyone for hopefully some results today 🤞🍀

Good luck to those waiting for results. DS is sad that next month will be his last scholars class before he starts at Hammond. He's come on so much in the two years he's been doing it and has thoroughly enjoyed every class, scholars weekend and Dance Days.
Awww that's so lovely that he's enjoyed it so much!!
Thank you for the luck, seems like forever since the audition. Do you know how many spaces they usually have in the scholars programme or is it different every year?

Oooh okay. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞 good luck x

@Bluebird22 have you had results for Manchester yet at all? Eagerly waiting for London results. Hoping for next week.

Aww congratulations to all the yes's!! Making me nervous for bath results now 🙈. Maybe not long if they're doing 2 centres in 1 day.

It is a separate audition and scheme, some of mine did both. There were two audition groups for juniors today, I would say maybe 20 in each group. All the other auditions just had one group and I think mids and seniors were together in one audition
That's great, very helpful. Thank you so much 😊. Good luck to your students 🤞

Spent the day sat at auditions today in Manchester. Normal class format, all of my students enjoyed the ballet, not so keen on the jazz!
Thank you, my daughter is really only into ballet, do they have to do jazz too? I knew there was jazz but thought maybe it was separate.

My son has been a BBO scholar in Manchester for the last two years and has loved it. The audition was a normal ballet class.
There are 9 classes a year with two intensives held at Elmhurst, Scholars Weekend in October and Dance Days at Easter.
Good luck to your DD.
Thank you very much.

Hi everyone.
My daughters just had an audition for RB JA's but she also has an audition for the bbo Scholars scheme in London next week, has anyone's children been to this audition in previous years? Just wondering what it's like really and what they do in the audition.

There's no merchandise here at Bath 😔 bit gutted.

Thank you. She's in there now. Certainly nerve-wracking 🙈. They all looked brilliant. Can't wait for her to tell me all about it now ❤️

JJ700 my DD is also auditioning in bath for a year 4 place tomorrow. We are in group 2 registration at 10.30. My DH is taking her. My DD is really hoping they do improv, ideally on feet!
Astrid my friend asked me to say that it was lovely to meet you and sorry she didn't get to say goodbye. Her son did bath today.
Aww good luck to your daughter!! We're in group 1 at 9.30.
I told mine earlier about the improv and we've prepared for it slightly. So hopefully it will work out fine.
Ive been quite laid back about it all until the last couple of days, now it's suddenly become a lot more intense lol. God knows what the waiting for the results is going to be like!! What will be will be, paying the audition fee to have a class with a royal ballet teacher is worth it whether she gets in or not.

My DD attended the Bath auditions today, group 1 for year 6 place. I wasn’t able to go (training at work!) so her dance teacher and dad went! Just home from work and she said it was fine and no improv and that’s about all I got from her!! Now the waiting!!
Awww. Good luck to your daughter. Good to know there was no improv. Thank you. Gonna be a long wait now till results 🙈
