Ive already mentioned Liam Boswell as a great new Kolia but thought Meghan Grace Hinkis was also very good as Vera. I can’t remember if she has performed this role before but if not must have learned very quickly so a lovely surprise from her for me and hope she gets another chance at it.Meaghan was Vera in the last run too

Thanks, Rob S. I'd assumed that by subscribing to a channel I'd see upcoming streams but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've now set it to receive Notifications from the ROH, but it's still only showing past streams on my page and on the ROH page. Clearly I don't understand YouTube!
You'll see it when the ROH set one up....the fact that there may be an upcoming one on a date you know of (from the ROH website, for example) doesn't mean there should be one on the youtube channel listed already.

There are 3 LWFC insights this week, all of which say 'filming'. Does anyone know if this means that they will all be on YouTube, live? I'm not going to any of them but might watch at least one of them if they're being streamed. (Or we do assume that all insights are now shown live on YouTube? I'm confused about this.)
Related to this, I subscribe to the ROH YouTube channel but when I look at it the Home page shows various past highlights and the Videos tab shows past insights etc that have been streamed. Are upcoming streams/videos mentioned anywhere and I'm missing them?
Upcoming streams appear a couple of days ahead on my homepage of Youtube with an option to set a reminder, it's p0ossible they would also appear as a thumbnail on the ROH channel's page too

Just here to say watching Marcelino today in Rhapsody 😮😮😮😮🔥🔥🔥🔥 had to scoop my jaw up off the floor. Idk what that step is called when he’s doing a handless cartwheel turning in the air in the splits but I literally gasped. He’s amazing.
Since the Gala for Ukraine I’ve been calling them Frola rolls 😊- 9

I do wish, however, the the ROH would clarify the casting for the special Swan Lake because the uncertainty they have created is not good in several respects.
I think we just need to sit tight for a while...it seems Lauren Cuthbertson has been replaced by Laura Morera in the 23rd April and 2nd May performances of AMITC so maybe there will need to be other positions to be clarified too

A shame for Akane Takada, I’m sure it won’t stop Sarah doing her bit the next day though…she’ll only have one act to do

I think it was Junker, he did an individual walk forward at the curtain call.

Interesting there is no more announcement about face coverings before the start of the performance and the Perspex barriers have been removed from the ticket office desks.
Oh and I found The Weathering a lot more interesting second time around

Just found it by the link to casts from my Swan Lake visit as there wasn’t a link for this one in the email.
Im assuming no casting for weathering as a lot of the Company are involved?
Melissa, Amelia and a load of chaps -
They’ve sorted it within 90 minutes
-
The link for tonight’s performance on the Cast List page doesn’t work as it’s just underlined text….I wonder if they’ll notice and change it

I don't think this has been posted (forgive me if it it has) but here's the press release:
https://static.roh.org.uk/for/pdfs/press-releases-22-23/Royal+Opera+House+announces+22.23+Season.pdf
It includes the date for the RBS summer performance, on a Sunday next year - July 16th (at 3pm according to the website).
That's quite useful. it doesn't answer an earlier question about who is doing the staging of Cinderella but shows the Magic Consultant has already been finalised😄

Yaaaay for Mayerling, Cinderella, SB, Diamond Celebration... and a tentative welcome for Woolf Works which I recorded off the telly before I watched my first ballet in 2016 and still haven't watched!

Yes, it would be nice to get back to the original subject of the thread: I presume some people have been to see it beyond the first night?
I'd still like to know what a man over near the orchestra pit area of the Stalls Circle shouted just before the start of DGV

Whenever we talk about ‘32 fouettés’ I just assume we are talking about ‘a lot’ rather than exactly 32.
That's definitely what I mean, she starts when she's supposed to start, she finishes when she's supposed to finish and she's doing however many turns she wants in between.
