Do you mean hideous compared to a previous production? I think the season fairy costumes for act 1 and 2 are beautiful

They were far from disastrous…the audience reaction was muted in act 1 compared to the other casts but it picked up in acts 2 and 3. We did lose the joke about a sister carrying Napoleon off this time round (Wellington doing the lifting)  and the shoe appeared to fit quite well….but it was still mostly fun to watch them

Not really as they're normally quick and there's another one along fairly soon after....plus the various dancers do them slightly differently that can often add to a joke.....Gary and Bennet looked at the shoe as if to say they know it won't fit, Thomas Whitehead didn't....for example. And tonight Christina threw the big (fruit?) back to Kristen instead of keeping both...in that sequence and had to exchange them, an error that added humour too

Yet another agreement to pay offers has been reached

Even though I work for a railway company I still don't know what section of the various disputes is causing the most disruption to services (particularly those that will get people home after a performance) but the disputes with the 14 railway operating companies appear to be continuing for now

From the Guardian:

Members of the RMT union have voted to accept a pay offer from Network Rail.

Thousands of rail workers including signalling staff voted by three to one in favour to accept the offer, a 9% pay increase over two years, in a referendum that closed on Monday.

The result should spell an end to the most disruptive strikes, and will raise hopes that all pay disputes across the railway could soon be settled, although the RMT said the ball was “in the government’s court

Gosh, it doesn't pay to accidentally turn up on the website 30 minutes after Friends booking opens......no SCS left for any mixed bill or Australian Ballet performance!!🤦‍♂️

I did at least get some Carlos at 50 tickets!!

Do they hold a selection of SCS places back for the general public?

It's probable that I'll have to give up my  SCS D50 for that performance but will let you know in a few days

The cast sheet for the 8th March performance said: The 21st performance by The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House. This performance is dedicated to the memory of the great Royal Ballet ballerina, Lynn Seymour, and her unique dramatic gifts.

It doesn't seem to be as clear cut as the news first stated
