I wonder if it was on the previous forum? I don't remember Acosta dancing the Cavalier in his later career, although I have to admit that I don't retain Nutcracker casting information that readily. I did think I might have seen Miyako Yoshida dancing Sugar Plum with dark but silvered hair at one stage, but my programme appears to show her with the wig on.
I think she and Jonathan Cope had their natural hair, with added glitter, when they were filmed in the early 2000s?

It doesn't seem to list the scheduled tour venues yet.

Last time it was 130 minutes including 25 minute interval.
Thank you. My cast sheets are all packed away somewhere safe but inaccessible!

Sorry to revive this thread, but can anyone remember the exact running time for Giselle? I am thinking of doing the double on 27 November but last train home is just after 8pm. I have in my head that Giselle is two hours and therefore I'd have ample time, but don't want to get caught out!

There was a 12.00 performance on a Friday in June 2019 of the triple bill Firebird/Month in the Country/Symphony in C. It caused me all sorts of problems working out how I was going to get to London to see it without spending a fortune.Yes it costs a fortune to get to London early on a weekday! I remember I actually travelled down on the Thursday and stayed overnight as, even including the hotel, it was cheaper than travelling on the Friday morning.

Oh dear, hardly of the dancers I wanted to
PS Has Bracewell really not done Romeo on stage before? I'm surprised he was cast for the film then. I'd assumed they'd based the film casting on stage casting from the run prior to filming.
Bracewell did Romeo with BRB. I have a treasured memory of taking a half day off work for a Friday matinee and seeing him dance it with Delia Matthews.

Sounds like Tier 4 is like lockdown 2 - during which there were live streams.

We had the same pallaver when the rule of 6 was brought in didn't we?
But, reading the RAD guidance, they seem to have interpreted it that adult classes can only take place in tier 2 with your own household (!).

Tier 2 allows group exercise classes doesn’t it?
I'm afraid I've heard not...what @DeveloppeDsays sounds like what I heard. My question was wishful thinking...

Hi all, I know over 18s aren't allowed in dance classes in Tier 3, but does anyone know if private lessons are allowed for adults?
I'm doing Advanced 2 with a cohort of under 18s and don't want to fall behind; it could be months before I'm allowed back in the studio...

I think the BRB Lazuli Sky was £10.
ENB have several streamed (previously recorded) performances for hire. Can't remember the prices of all of them but they vary according to length and subject.
I bought their Le Corsaire with Vadim and Alina Cojacaru which was £7.99 and also the doc. about ENBS visit to Paris Opera House to perform it which cost £4.99. The main snag with ENB is you only get three days to watch them which seems a bit mean when you're paying. You think they could manage a week at least.
How do you purchase these? I can't find a way on their website.

Doesn’t make sense to me to limit tickets for an online performance ?The Old Vic have done it - and it didn't go down well!

Advance priority booking? Does that mean tickets will be limited?

The Premier League are testing players twice a week - however the testing is done privately and paid for by the League. Perhaps if the new 20 minute test is rolled out that might help?
Not just players, but all staff who come into contact with them, including PR staff etc.

Does anyone know if there's going to be another Everybody Ballet Instagram live stream, and if so, when it is? My internet detective work has been fruitless so far!
-
David Johnson joined Northern Ballet for a time, IIRC.
-
Hi, how did you book Everybody Ballet? I can't see anything on their Facebook or website re online classes.

It's handy to have on your phone for when something is niggling you and you want to check an arm or the timing of something.

I'm fascinated by being able to film the exam
How does this happen? Do you film it yourself?
Where do you go to do it ( just imagining my place .....would take a week to organise a proper space)
Im glad it's worked out for you but would like to know more about it?
Hi Linn, the space was already booked for the session so no changes there - exams running to timetable in that space. I've been told the camera will be set up where the examiner's table would have been and it absolutely must be continuously filmed. Teacher will direct the exam in place of examiner but not allowed of course to make any comment, and I believe she needs to remain in view of the camera too. I'm told that as soon as the session is finished, the film will be sent digitally to RAD and think there is time sensitivity there.

I totally sympathise with you. There has been an announcement earlier today that RAD have officially suspended all examinations.
RAD HQ is also suspending all their degree courses to at least the end of the Easter Holidays.I am doing mine tomorrow and being filmed!
I'm not sure the camera will be kind to me, nor how it will feel to be in an exam without the adrenalin of an examiner - but I'm so very relieved that it's happening!
Ps been trying to like posts on this thread but my likes always disappear once I leave the page.

Fantastic to hear of an adult dancer supported to progress through the Vocational levels!
I’d be interested to hear if you are in a ‘regular’ class & general ages....
I did Grade 8 and pre ele as a teenager and did the vocational work up to adv 1 but didn't do any vocational exams after pre ele. I did non syllabus classes while at university and after that moved to a new city and did Cecchetti inter. Then moved back to hometown and started doing RAD again with old teacher. Built my classes up until I was taking all the same classes as the teenagers were: two syllabus classes, 1 pointe and 1 body conditioning each week. At some point in this process the RAD changed the syllabus! Did Adv 1 on and off as there wasn't always provision for it in the timetable so sometimes did foundation instead. It was suggested to me several times that I entered for the exam but with one thing and another I didn't enter til this term. I'm not sure I really agreed to it even then, just found my name on the list! And now, best laid plans and all that as I've just had confirmation of postponement.

Hope it can go ahead & wishing you really good luck! xx
Thank you. I'm 33 and, without going into detail on a public forum, life is complicated and I'm not sure I'll be able to postpone rather than cancel, so I've got everything crossed although not holding out much hope.

I had a bit of a mixed experience - couldn't load the seating plans at first when I logged on at 9am, although only queued for 4 minutes. But when the plans did eventually load, I was really surprised to see how much availability there was. In fact, it was a bit overwhelming as I'm not used to seeing so much choice! Like other posters, I managed to get good stalls circle standing tickets for my chosen dates, which is rare through public booking.
In fact, I logged back on this morning to book for a further performance, Romeo early matinee at 11.30am on 15 Jan, having realised I could tie it in with ENB's Raymonda at the Coli. I managed to snap up good SCS for this one too, which surprised me the day after public booking had opened. However, when I paid, not only did I have to verify through mobile app (which I hadn't had to do the day before) but the payment screen stated that I'd have to show ID when using the tickets. Has anyone seen this before? The performance was available through public booking (not Paul Hamlyn for example) and I didn't access any kind of concession.
