  1. Wow, had a great evening. Particularly loved Time Spell which was an insanely clever mixture of voice (not all can be described as singing), ballet, tap and contemporary and was completely engaging and uplifting. It also felt very American somehow, like experiencing a slice of New York. I hope that this piece will be eligible/entered for next year’s Olivier Awards. It seems like the perfect piece of high quality, mainstream dance art. I was cutting it quite fine in terms of getting there so unfortunately didn’t manage to get a programme- they all sold out! It would be great if anyone could share the complete list of artists from Time Spell.
  2. I just can’t understand how they can charge £100 or more for restricted view seats. Or for any seats in Amphi. Or benches. Or charge the same for full view balcony as they do for lower tiers. Along with the significantly higher prices in the full view seats, it seems as though the ROH are shooting themselves in more than the foot. Keenly watching Cinderella ticket sales - with some dispair.
  3. I stand corrected. It is available on YouTube but ROH website is directing to streaming service which requires subscription!
  4. The link has been posted earlier in the thread but it doesn’t appear to be public. If you go to the ROH site the livestream link has an error message and the Rolex branded link directs to the paid streaming service. An interesting strategy to monetise the insights but given the insights usually help promote cinema, such a limited free run is hardly going to be beneficial.
  5. Interesting that already on the ROH site the insight is only accessible via ROH stream which suggests that they are only going to livestream events going forwards and explains why the event wasn’t searchable on YouTube. I wonder if they will see a significant dent on viewing figures and what the impact will be on ticket purchases and cinema viewing.
  6. I have also now received and responded
  7. I got a similar response and replied to say it’s strange as I am opted into everything.
  8. I didn’t receive either survey…
  9. Too excited for this! But looks like it was in 2022 when I click the link?
  10. Thank you thank you thank you!I couldn’t watch it live and had been struggling to find it!
  11. And Crystal Pite won last year for Revisor too- would it be unusual to win 2 years in a row?
  12. I think we covered it ourselves. The idea is to prevent any photos inside the Kit Kat Club which might then ruin the experience for others.
  13. At Cabaret they stick a sticker over your camera to stop photos being taken- even at the curtain call.
  14. I did wonder when tonight’s event went in the ROH schedule. I am so sad that I couldn’t make it but tonight was always going to be impossible. I can’t make her Cinderella performance either.
  15. This is exactly the point I made in the comments at the end of the survey, using the words ‘daylight robbery’.
  16. According to Yuhui Choe it wasn’t filmed and was actually their first rehearsal with Wayne McGregor. Such a shame for us but I guess takes off the pressure for them! Just a little unfair given tickets are like gold dust!
  17. Well Don Q beat Black Swan PDD on this occasion. Both dancers were brilliant but Mayara was just gorgeous and has just the right temperament for Kitri. Would love to see her dance the full production at ROH (with Cesar Corrales).
  18. Unfortunately I can’t attend on Wednesday night so looking to sell. Will return to box office at the end of today if no takers. 2x Balcony tall stools C58 and C59 £34 each
  19. Where can I watch the PdeL gala? I have been struggling to find day 5 and 6 on Arte, can’t find the gala to watch either.
  20. To add a further dynamic to the conversation, did anyone read Richard Morrison’s article in the Times on Friday? https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-royal-opera-house-s-ditching-of-its-long-term-sponsor-bp-is-pure-hypocrisy-2n3vw6cs5 To quote a very small but pertinent couple of sentences which I assume is ok @mods ‘The arts world should consider this: every time a sponsor is deemed not pure enough to pass muster, that’s another £10,000, £100,000 or several million that either has to be raised from ticket sales or begged from government. Ticket sales seem unlikely to rise much in the foreseeable future, so that leaves public subsidy as the only way of plugging the gap.’ Of course we then know how organisations like ROH suffer at the hands of ACE.
  21. Anyone finding that the site is incorrectly telling them that they have exceeded their ticket limit (when no tickets booked at all??).
