  1. Awesome!! I've been eagerly awaiting news! I have a friend who trained there (not long finished) so if any questions I can ask her for you.
  2. Haha! Yes! Agon yeah that's the one! Knew I'd seen it before.
  3. Is that position not maybe just from a piece they'd been doing? I'm sure there's a Balanchine piece with that pas de deux....it does show extreme felixibikitu though!
  4. I don't know that much except I knew someone who did the foundation course at Birds. Think it's meant to help you in getting into a full time course if you're not quite ready for that yet. She did get offered a place on the 3 year course but no funding so she couldn't go. She ended up training locally & finished in the summer, although she did get a couple of offers for London courses inbetween she didn't get any funding so couldn't go. So I guess the foundation course did the job? Sorry, that's probably not much help!
  5. I saw it last night, really enjoyed it! Went specifically to last night's performance to see Eve Mutso as the witch - she is fabulous & didn't disappoint! Liked the ravens too. Only critiscm would be I would've liked to see more ensemble dancing - lots of solos/storytelling but the corps pieces were very short. But I guess it could've easily become similar to Nutcracker then. But a great night, & audience all seemed to enjoy.
  6. Love it! There's one teacher who used to teach classes I go to who did lots of dancey waltzy adage, turns, allegro and minimum of petit allegro (I hate glissade assemble/jete!) - loved her classes!
  7. Ha yes! And generally nice waltz-y, balancé-y type ballet too - flitting and floating!
  8. Perfect analogy Balleteacher! Just what I've been thinking about...in my open class I do (reasonably advanced but variety within ages & abilities) you sometimes have people who might know the ballet vocabulary/terminology/what the steps are....but if you're not able to manage a good tendu at the barre you're not quite ready for a tricky grand allegro/pirouettes etc across the floor! You said it better...!
