  6. Hi Brm i'm not really sure how many as i've asked my Dd and she said she didn't know as she's never counted so guessed around 15 This is totally normal for her to not have noticed as when she's in class or auditions so just consentrates which is a good thing but means I get no feedback through her It is a lovely class and the teachers and dacers are wonderful to the students. x
  7. Yes my Dd is an associate and loves it, the training she gets is off a very high quality and each child is made to feel an individual. She also has done the summer programme's over the last 4 years and my Dd comes home each day exchausted and climing into bed but able to be up and sparkle ready to do it all over again and guarenteed depressed on the monday after it finished so when the associates come along we didn't hesitate to apply. Good luck if your planning to audition x
  8. Thank you Spannerandpony you are right it seems you need to know someone that is a mason as it ask's for their i.d number and lodge. x
  9. DanhsaMom I would wait till Friday then contact them, my letter was posted on the 30th and I received it today and thats the uk so may be a few more days for your's. Dd's audition although on the 26th was for only 11 students, 10 girls and a boy so maybe that was why it seemed the letter's were out faster, also I know 2 of the girls were from abroad so their letters were going via email. Would love to know how the others got on, good luck to everyone waiting for their letters. x
  10. Thankyou for all your kind replys, still not told her yet I think I may try and contact these mason people tommorow then I can tell her not to get upset as i'm looking into something for her, think I may do it after school as I don't want her going to school stressing, so how do I contact the mason's?? And Damhsamom no year 10 is the same as year 4 in state school's. x
  11. Evening all, my Dd auditioned for Tring on 26th Jan for a year 10 place, at the audition speech we were told that there would be one of three letters going out this year, 1, A yes 2, sorry a no 3, you have been put on a waiting list for a place. unlike the speech last year that said about the four letters like Modge56 mentioned above. After the speech I asked if there would be any MDS awards given out this year and I was told they didn't know. Last year my daughter got offered a place and invited back for mds funding and from that on the waiting list for funding. We received an offer today for a place for my Dd for my daughter but that the offer come unfunded i've not told her yet as she has become very down after not being able to start last September and made herself poorly. But she was determind to audition again as Tring is her dream school, but I do wish they had told us up frount that year 10 would not be funded this year, Hammond told me straight out so we didn't audition. If anyone has any ideas on how to approach companies or which ones may help could they let me know please as I can't stand this feeling that i've failed my Dd by not being able to profide for her. welldone to everyone that has had a postive outcome and my heart goes out to those that has had no's x
  12. hi David i'm pleased you found the info of help, they have a lots of students from all over the world do the course and a lot of vocational students also do it so you know the training is of a very high standard and am proud to say my Dd has been given an oppurtunity with them. I think you can apply for the course as soon as its advertised and it do fill up fast as they get a lot off applications, but I do know they have fewer male applicants so they get a better chance of gaining a place. Email them or facebook them and they can advice you with dates and application forms, they always reply every email, even the silly questions I normally ask
  13. Hi David, have you checked out Ballet Cymru?? They do an amazing summer intensive and at your age you would be working with and alongside the company. My daughter has done it over the last few years and is now an associate with them as she learnt so much over the summer that she wanted to carry on her training with them. Contact them as they are very approcable and can advice you on working with them and they also arrange for boarding in local hotels if you wanted to stay in Newport for the week, otherwise the train station is across the road, they are based at the fiverfront in Newport, not sure but think there may be a direct train from bath but may be a change at Cardiff Central Hope this helps, and maybe will see you in the summer.
