  1. Hi Ameliemum, My dd also had her second 'no' letter from RBS JA's today I would highly recommend LJB. My daughter started as a JA last year and is loving it despite the early mornings. They are not so concerned with a certain type of physique, more on ability and a love of ballet. The teachers are really lovely with the children and they learn really great technique through non syllabus work, plus some flexibility and revision. They will however be moving to West Acton in September and depending on where you are in Essex it may be a jaunt around the Nth Circular or perhaps too far? Some people travel way farther to get there though and some stay over the night before! Don't give up, there are loads of other opportunities and so many stories of dancers who were never accepted into RBS but had amazing careers! X
  2. Ours didn't arrive in the post today! Has anyone else had a delivery with no letter from London auditions?
  3. Hi Plie, we were told at our London audition that we would hear by early July. I don't think Eastleigh or Totnes have come through yet and they were before us? I think London will be towards the end of next week I'm afraid - hope I'm wrong!
  4. Hi taxi4ballet, we're waiting for our letter re Classical Ballet Academy. Does that mean the letters have still not arrived today? And if so, are you able to say what the other letter is about? Thanks!
  5. Thanks Spannerandpony! Everyone's advice and posts are invaluable when trying to make a sane decision!
  6. Hi, I'm new to this forum! I hadn't heard of YDA until this thread - it sounds lovely! How hard is it to get a place compared to WL, Elmhurst or Tring etc? My DD will be taking vocational auditions this Winter for year 7 2013. She didn't get JA at RBS but got JA at London Junior Ballet, she is small, has lovely feet but no long hyperextended legs!
