Hi can anyone advise in the standing places that say not suitable for the short of stature - for someone of 5 foot 3 would that be a problem? I have not bought these in the last so have no actual experience of them. Thanks

I’m 5’ (and a bit!) and I have a problem with the far sides of the SC behind the tall seats D1-5 and 50-54. It’s also hard standing in the places next to the light box D26- 33 ish because the floor slopes so the leaning rail is too high - I rest my chin on it 😀. Otherwise the SCS standing places have a great view. I can’t see much from the balcony standing places so I avoid those.

  2. I was at both performances yesterday. It was the first time I'd seen this ballet, and I agree with KyleCheng that on first viewing the music was a little distracting. However, in the evening, when I was more familiar with what to expect, I found I could ignore that and concentrate on the dancing - which was superb. Both casts gave it their all. Not  having seen the full version, I found the minimal staging very clean, and the story very clear. I have enjoyed a lot of what Northern Ballet offer - particularly Jane Eyre -  and they are such a strong company dramatically. But it was just such a pleasure to see a live performance again - I'm still on a bit of a high!

Bea is a lovely, bright, fun and quirky lady.  She will do very well at Stanford and whatever she decides to do after that.  Her brother, to whom she is very close, also lives in southern California so it will be great for her to spend more time with him as she has missed out a lot over the past ten years.

I wish her very well and lots of love and happiness in all that she does.

Totally agree, Sim, and let's hope we get the chance to give her a really good send-off on the ROH stage.
