I'm also 5'1 and only have a problem in the central standing places (D20 - 30 ish) where the floor slopes downwards. It's not difficult to see from there, just difficult to lean on the padded rail, so they're not so comfortable. But as everyone has said, they're great standing places and excellent value.

Thanks for the sympathy, Mary! I finally got a couple of tickets in the basket and then like Bruce I had to buy them and go back in, re-joining the end of the queue. I will try again later on when it might have settled down a bit, but it hasn't been a great experience and my choice of cheap tickets will obviously be much worse..

Is anyone else having a problem booking today? I get sent round in circles, getting through the queue, choosing a date, being sent back to the list page and the thrown back into the queue.
Getting frustrated ......

I too saw it yesterday, and totally agree with all the positive comments above. It was such a pleasure to see a clear, clean narrative without any distracting or unnecessary gimmicks, and with no need for a lengthy synopsis. It stood alone, and was totally engaging from start to finish. The music was exactly right, and the staging spot on. The dancing was excellent, and captured the mood of the story perfectly.
I don't understand why it wasn't better attended - even the good reviews didn't seem to draw people in.
Like Anna, I would travel to see it again any time!

I thought it was a mixed bag tbh, it's essentially a Matthew Bourne ballet with Kenneth MacMillanesque pas des deux, although I did like how they integrated the scenery (and, particularly, tables) in the choreography. The main issue is the plot I think, there's too much of it and it doesn't go anywhere. The score is nice and the set is lovely, but its true asset is the cast. Joseph Taylor in particular is fantastic
I agree. I really enjoyed it as a spectacle, and thought much of the dancing was great, but it didn't match 'Dangerous Liaisons' - the last thing I saw them do at SW which I really loved. It was also a shame that the audience wasn't bigger, but at least we were very appreciative at the end!
I'm very glad I saw it - it was definitely worth it.

I just tried to book some extra tickets and automatically got the new system - no choice. Is everybody having this now? I used the old system on Tuesday!

Yes, I agree, Bruce. However, I couldn't get what I really wanted (SCS for the Sat 4th matinee) so will still have to try the public booking. But previous glitches with the website were happily missing this morning.
