  13. Thanks! My DD does very well at her local school and is a confident child but is also pretty sensible for her age and understands that there are a lot of reasons we don't understand why some children are selected and others not! She is quite tall and although no means overweight is not slight!
  14. My 9 year old auditioned for year 4 last year for Elmhurst and RBS but was unsuccessful, she is really keen to try again for year 5! She really enjoyed the experience last time and wasn't too disheartened when it was a no, so think going to go for it again, any words of advice?

  19. Well DD auditioned in Leeds today, came out with a big smile and said it was "brilliant"! We're both very aware of the odds of the getting in, but would say no matter what the outcome, the audition itself was a positive experience worth doing!
  20. DD had a lovely time at Manchester audition today and made some new friends! Good luck to all those now waiting for news and those waiting to audition!
  21. I only received my email on Monday for audtion this Saturday as closing date was only on 20th for Manchester and it does say they will contact with times only after the closing date- think for birmingham this was 30th April so will probably be next week before you get your time!
  22. We've just had our audition info emailed to us for Manchester on Saturday - my DD is in at 2pm! anyone else in at this time?
  23. I have applied for Manchester and not heard anything, but when I looked on their website noticed they have extended the closing dates for entries to 8 days before audition date!
  24. Hi I'm new here too- I took my 8 year old to JA for a day in Leeds and she loved it! She is going into year 4 in sept and we have took the plunge and are auditioning in Leeds 2nd May. I'm a bit worried as she seemed quite a lot bigger than some of the other potential year 4s and hope that won't put her at a disadvantage! She seems happy to go along and enjoy the experience though so we are going to go with the flow!
