My dd is a manchester ja and she received her yes as did two of Leeds ja's we also know of other manchester ja's who are still waiting for their letters, think it is just down to the wonderful Royal Mail. Hugs to all the no's and good luck next time, well done to those with a yss and fingers crossed for those still waiting.
  6. My dd got a large A4 envelope Yes from Elmhurst with some forms to fill in and return immediately and a medical form for her gp. Her friend who got a no got a standard envelope.
  7. I know Elmhurst envelopes came in A4 yes smaller envelopes No, but are all associate responses the same?? at least if you know the size of envelope then you don't need to open it if dd is at school when it arrives and you can pick your time to give them no envelope. Hate all this waiting. good luck to all those waiting
  8. Hi, my DD has been offered a place on the 2nd week of RBS summer school, but we haven't heard of any other year 6, she's a JA at Manchester after transferring there from Leeds. Any other year 6 dd going 2nd week.
  9. Just a thought years ago when I'd taken one of my majors, my mother couldn't wait so she turned up at school at lunch time so i could open it, I thought she was stupid at the time - but it's very tempting to follow her role now Good Luck everyone.
  10. I say try again, when my dd and her friends went for year 4 we told them it was to build their confidence for applying in year 5 so they'd know what to expect and because of their age they would probably not get year 4. They all enjoyed the experience. My daughter was lucky enough to get year 4 and it made it extra special as she certainly did expect it and none of her friends were upset when they didn't get offered a place as my dd was the eldest. Some tried again but others decided it wasn't for them, they are all on different asscoiate progarammes now, either NBT or Elmhurst. Never give up hope. One of my dd teachers says go to as many different auditions as you can then when there is one you really want you'll be able to go in knowing what to expect, always smile and listen carefully. Good luck and enjoy dancing that's the main thing at this age.
  11. Hi passionforballet, My daughter auditioned for year 4 JA and has enjoyed her three years with them, they only take a couple of year four children most of the places for that class go to those going into year 5. the year 4 children have to do the same year twice before moving up to the year 6 class. The Elmhurst associate class is relatively new so the classes were small this year and again the year 4 and 5 children were in together. It's a pity they don't have a mids class as my daughter has loved it on the Elmhurst course. my dd has just done her audition for mids/white lodge and is please with herself - just waiting now. Tell your daughter to smile and enjoy the class and don't let it put her off if she doesn't get in this year keep trying and enjoying her dancing. Good luck
  12. My DD is a JA and an Elmhurst associate at Manchester. Not been to the school before but she has a friend in yr 9 at the school. Audition time: is 8-45am. Traveling down the night before and staying in a Travelodge- Do you have far to go?
  13. Nice to see that so many are getting the opportunity to go to White Lodge. My DD looking forward to seeing some of you there. Good luck if you're also auditioning either associates or full time.
  14. Good Luck to both your daughters, my dd has her yr 7 audition on Tuesday 17th Jan as well, so we'll probably be there together Angela_Stapleton. Is your dd on any associate progs at the moment? Good luck to all auditionees, let your love of dance shine through
