Angela
Filip Barankiewicz was appointed new ballet director for the National Theatre at Prague, starting in 2017/18. The former Stuttgart Ballet principal, born in Poland, was chosen over Daria Klimentová and Jiří Bubeníček, both Czech. https://www.facebook.com/ndbalet http://www.tanecniaktuality.cz/en/new-artistic-directors-of-national-theatre-ballet-and-drama-companies-to-be-chosen-by-the-end-of-december/
Bruce Wall
I am sure he will do an excellent job. It would be wonderful if he was able to - in some meaningful way - additionally involve the candidates who also sought this role. They are fine artists all and I'm sure each has a huge amount to offer the future of this established company.
balletla
Gosh that's a long time in advance - over 2.5 years away! I can't imagine getting a job that I then have to wait that long to take up. Poor Daria - I guess she'll have to continue as an RBS teacher for a while longer.
toursenlair
This company calls itself the Czech National Ballet in English, so maybe the title of this thread should be changed?
