taxi4ballet
What a right tussle I've been having this evening We have a bottle of Papillon hardener, I've used it a couple of times before and always had a job getting the lid off. It's one of those push down and twist jobs, like they put on medicine bottles. Well this time I can't get the darned lid off no matter what I do - it must have glued itself shut! Any ideas please? (other than chuck it in the bin!!)
pollyanna
We are always having the same trouble too. Usually we detach the red outer lid using a screwdriver leaving the white inner lid which then twists off (often need to resort to twisting it with a pair of pliers!). Best of luck! CharlieChuck
Have you tried warming the glue with some hot water? I've not actually used it before but whenever any jar gets stuck I boil the kettle, pour hot water over it, grab a tea towel or something and it usually comes off. Circe
Try dissolving round the top with nail varnish remover?

taxi4ballet
Thanks folks, I might try standing the bottle in very hot water and see what happens.
Interested Parent
I have done exactly this and ended up hacking through the top and pouring it into a standard screw top bottle with a big label on it saying 'pointe shoe hardener - DO NOT DRINK!'
