  1. I've always found Planet dance to be excellent too. I've had lots of problems with Dance Direct in the past including them refusing to refund a leotard which had only been tried on over tights. I only use Dance Direct for their tights now - anything else I always go elsewhere. Looks like we have all had different experiences with different suppliers.
  2. Yes, they are really hard to sew but you do get used to them and imo certainly worth it. At least they come with suede tips which saves a job! Best of luck with getting them swopped with Dancia x
  3. Hi, I would get in touch with the shop you bought them from. When my daughter snapped the elastic on a brand new pair of Gaynors the week before her intermediate exam - we rang the shop and they put another pair in the post for us and we returned the pair with the broken elastic. That was Dancia in London who were really helpful and luckily they had another pair in stock. We have to be careful with the elastic now though as she has special order Gaynors! Good luck! x
  4. A Yes today for my DD too! Well done for the other yes's x
  5. Shame the maintenance rates haven't increased though. Even with a full dada, accommodation and living expenses cost far more than £4550 pa and it is a real struggle for those of us on low incomes trying to support our dcs through vocational school.
  6. We are always having the same trouble too. Usually we detach the red outer lid using a screwdriver leaving the white inner lid which then twists off (often need to resort to twisting it with a pair of pliers!). Best of luck! P xx
  7. Interesting too that it says a mximum of £35 should be charged as audtion fees according to the link from Interested Parent. Many schools charge more than this amount!
